I’m really loving the start of this year for new subscription boxes. This time I’m bringing you a brand new subscription box, Artemis and Xena, which aims to empower teens & women whilst focusing on well-being.
This box came very packaged very prettily with a ribbon and this gorgeous deep violet tissue paper. Violet is the colour of spirituality and it also represents transformation, creativity and spiritual awareness. It is also the colour of the Crown chakra too, which is about wisdom, oneness with the world and pure thought. I’m not sure if this choice was intentional or not but it’s a very good pick for this box in my opinion.
Anyway, let’s take a look at what is in the first Artemis and Xena box because there is A LOT to get through. This box was simply overflowing with goodies and has a mini theme of ‘Dreaming’.
A pretty little New Year Booklet where you can reflect on the previous year and plan for the new one. Great to get your plan of action for the new year kickstarted and keep on track.
This Calming Origami book is so pretty and perfect to de-stress and unwind. You get two for one in this book though as you also get to do some origami. This will aid concentration as well.
I’m not into jewellery, I don’t wear any at all. Mostly because my skin gets irritated by anything that isn’t pure gold or silver. This is a really lovely necklace though but it’s not something I would wear myself. Still a really pretty piece though.
A Mindfulness Practice Card – This gives you really easy directions on how to practice mindfulness. Not everyone will find it easy but it is very good to do. There’s really no right or wrong way to do it either. The more you practice it, the easier it will become and the more beneficial you will find it.
A cute ‘Dreams Do Come True‘ Bookmark featuring a pretty Dreamcatcher design!
Some Body Rock Temporary Tattoos in really pretty designs. Not something I would use at my age but fantastic for teenage girls.
A gorgeous DIY Dreamcatcher kit. I actually really like Dreamcatchers and have had several over the years, so I will look forward to making this and hanging it somewhere.
A sachet of Pukka Night Time Tea. This is a ‘dreamy blend of organic oat flower, lavender & limeflower. This tea should help you get a restful nights sleep. I love the pretty myriad of colours on the organza bag that this came in. A really lovely touch, rather than just putting in the sachet on its own.
I loved the fact they also included this challenge sheet and stickers. It’s a list of fun little challenges and when you complete them you use a sticker. Once you’ve completed all of the listed challenges you can then take a photo of it and upload it to Instagram, using the hashtags #artemisandxena #artemisandxenaboxchallenge for your chance to win a freebie!
I think this might be the ‘extra gift’ as it’s not listed. It’s a lovely Fuji Green Tea exfoliating soap from The Body Shop. I haven’t tried any products from The Body Shop in a very long while, so it will be really nice to try this.
Then there is this E.L.F All Over Colour Stick. You can literally use this versatile stick for anything from eyeshadow, to highlight to using it on your lips. It’s in the shade Persimmon and is also cruelty free too!
Earth Conscious Natural Deodorant in Lavender. These are brilliant deodorant with anti-bacterial properties that will keep you smelling sweet all day long. They won’t block your sweat glands either, so your body will expel toxins naturally as it is supposed to do.
Collection Colour Pro Intense Lip Lacquer in this really pretty coral-red colour. It’s a long-lasting colour and doesn’t dry the lips.
A Rimmel Love Glitter nail polish in Queen of Bling. I must admit to being quite a sucker for glitter nail polish as an accent nail or something. I really love this gold one, it’s so pretty!
You also get a handy printed sheet with details of everything that is in the box.
Overall Thoughts of the Artemis And Xena Box
With lots of creative activities and things like art therapy included in this box, along with some jewellery, cosmetic and skin care products. This box is wonderful for mindfulness and well-being. It helps to motivate and inspire.
The Artemis and Xena box provides lots of things to do, like the DIY Dreamcatcher, the colouring Origami book and more. I also like that a lot of things have been made especially by them for their boxes.
There’s also the lovely little touches like the organza bag. As I’ve previously stated in other reviews, I really notice and pay attention to these kind of things.
Overall, it is quite an original box and perfect for teens and women.
