Just after New Year, I was contacted by Boxcitement to see if I would be interested in reviewing one of their boxes. I’ve always loved the look of their boxes, so of course I said, YES PLEASE! So this month they sent me their January Boxcitement to review.
I have also collaborated with them on a Giveaway to win one of their lovely Boxcitement boxes, so make sure you check out the details on how to enter at the end of this post!
For those of you that don’t know about Boxcitement – why not?! Just kidding! 😉 Seriously though, Boxcitement is a really gorgeous box that is going to surprise you every month with a whole heap of fabulous goodies.
This was taken from their Press Page:-
Boxcitement create monthly mystery boxes, aimed at people who love unusual gifts – whether giving, receiving or wrapping them. Our boxes are crammed with exclusively designed stationery, jewellery, homewares and simple craft projects, as well as accessories such as pens and stickers – and every month is a surprise.
If you’ve ever browsed the pages of Not On The High Street or Folksy, you will be aware of the increasing popularity of quality British made gifts created by UK artisans. Our mission is to put all of the delight that buying from these sites brings into one letterbox-friendly box every month. We aim to surprise and intrigue our customers, who can either keep the contents for themselves or re-gift them along with the premium stationery and wrapping accessories that we include – so we like to say that every box is useful as well as lovely.
Boxes follow a different theme each month, and will contain some or all of the following: cool stationery, quirky jewellery, simple crafts, home accessories, cards and wrapping goodies. In essence, we’re a giftshop in a box delivered to the door every month.
The difference with Boxcitement is that, as their team has creative backgrounds they create ALL their products in-house. That means that everything you find in your monthly Boxcitement is unique to them and you cannot find the items anywhere else. That’s pretty neat!
So, let’s take a look at all the unique goodies that are in the January Boxcitement!
First off there is this colourful pretty card on the inside of the lid that tells you the theme of the box for the month. On the reverse you will find details of everything that is in the box. I really love the design on this card, especially the cute fox on the reverse.
The January Boxcitement theme is ‘Newbie You’ and it’s all about making time to relax, being positive, motivated and encouraging mindfulness and wellness.
Also, if you share your pictures of your Boxcitement and use the hashtag #boxcitement, you could win a FREE stationery box next month.
The first item is this really pretty handcrafted bracelet made from semi-precious gemstone beads. I love how Boxcitement packaged this. They could have just put it in a plastic bag but nope, they made sure to wrap it carefully in tissue paper. Seal it with a pretty sticker and popped it inside this rather lovely pouch. It’s little touches like that, that make all the difference. I really notice things like that.
I’ve never come across anything like this before and I love it. A Positivity Pebble, how different! Again, this was packaged in a pretty grey & white candy striped bag and sealed with another cute sticker. I love that you get to design your own pebble and they even included a permanent ink pen to use too. You can use it in numerous ways too. There are suggestions on the reverse of the card for designs. It also tells you how to use the Pebble you create to aid mindfulness.
Then there’s this cute little treat for the bath. Have a little ‘me time’ and pop this in the water whilst running your bath.
I really love these before and after photo frames and the pegs and string they come with. It’s so cute! Perfect for the New Year and to remind you of how far you’ve come. Having this somewhere you can see it will encourage you to continue on your journey, whatever that may be. Love it!
I actually laughed when I saw this because everyone is always losing their phone charger leads and I thought how great this would be. This is an Ohm-ni Tie. It’s a universal tie that can be used to keep a myriad of things tidy. Phone cables, computer cables, pens and lots more.
You also get these four mini motivation cards. I love the design on these and the cards all have very easy to follow instructions on them to motivate you. They’re small enough to keep with you. Alternatively you could stick them somewhere they are easily visible.
You also get this rather gorgeous exclusively designed quality greeting card. The illustration on this card is exclusive to Boxcitement. Really beautiful design and lovely colours too.
This adorable ‘Newbie You’ little book of achievement created especially for the January Boxcitement is really fab. Lots of motivational ideas and even a colouring page, to help get some stress free down time for yourself. Its design matches the box and features the cute little foxes.
The last item in the January Boxcitement is this rainbow coloured print with the Buddha quote ‘Every morning we are born again. What we do today is what matters most’. It’s true, every day is a fresh new start and it’s what you do in the here and now that is important. You can’t change yesterday.
