One of the new independent beauty boxes that launched last year and has consistently been curating fantastic boxes each month is Little Bit Lavish. Each month Becky has brought new and exciting brands and products to us in her beautiful boxes. For this month, it’s Little Bit Lavish January Gems and there are some really fantastic items included.
All the products curated for the Little Bit Lavish January Gems box are to help us get through these cold months. Help our bodies and skin recover from any over indulgences we might have had during Christmas and the New Year. Plus, keep us on track with any New Year resolutions we may have made.
Isla Apothercary Neroli Oil RRP £16.00 – Sadly my lights reflected on the shiny label but nonetheless this Neroil Oil is really lovely. This multi-purpose dry body oil is so gentle it can even be used on the face, along with using it in the bath or in massage. It has a really nice scent and many beneficial ingredients to cleans, balance and improve the skins elasticity. It can also help soften the appearance of scares and stretch marks. It absorbs in to the skin really easily and doesn’t leave it feeling greasy, just soft and hydrated.
Saturated Colour Scrub Stick RRP £6.50 – This time of year I always have dry lips and they are a real nuisance. This Scrub Stick is really fantastic though. Essentially a sugary scrub in a lip balm, this exfoliates your dry lips gently whilst leaving them feeling soft, smooth and moisturised.
Olofson Skincare Facial Oil One RRP £12.00 – This facial oil is suitable for all skin types. It’s key ingredients are hazelnut oil, Sunflower Oil and Frangipani essential oil. These ingredients help to rejuvenate, tone and firm the skin. The formula of the oil absorbs easily into the skin and it has a really lovely scent, that will leave you feeling refreshed.
Jade Facial Roller RRP £10.00 – I have wanted to get one of these Jade Facial Rollers for quite a while so I was really thrilled to see it in the January Gems box. This is great to use with your favourite facial oil or serums and would be perfect to use with the Olofson Skincare Facial One Oil too.
Jade rollers have been used in Chinese medicine for centuries. They aid the body’s filtration organs and lymph systems to expel toxin from the body. Use it around the face and neck area to help lymph drainage and blood flow. It will also help eliminate puffiness. Your facial muscles will also be toned and your wrinkles plumped out. Use it regularly to minimise spots around the chin and jaw line which are caused by toxin build-up. Up till now, I’ve used my fingers to manually drain the lymph systems on the face when applying facial oils but the Jade Facial Roller is SO much better.
Soothe Me Everyday Hand Cream RRP £7.50 – A plant based, natural deluxe organic hand cream that has an abundance of fantastic ingredients in it: Sweet Almond Oil, Hempseed Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Fractionated Coconut Oil, Essential oils of Grapefruit, Frankincense, Peppermint. Naturally rich in Vitamins E, A, B1, B2, B6, D
You really only need the tiniest amount of this hand cream because a little really does go a long way. A really lovely moisturising hand cream; smells lovely and perfect for dry hands through the cold months.
Good Full Stop Cherry & Maple Druit & Nut Bar RRP £0.84 – A really healthy tasty blend of dates, cashews, maple syrup, real cherry pieces. It has natural flavouring, is gluten-free and is also a natural source of fibre. It also counts as 1 of your 5 a day too It does have nuts in it though, so not suitable for people with nut allergies.
It actually tastes really, really good and so full of fruity flavour.
Overall Thoughts About The Little Bit Lavish January Gems Box
Another really fabulous, well thought out and well put together box from Little Bit Lavish.
I was only familiar with one brand this month and that was Saturated Colour, as I already own some of their lip products. The Jade Facial Roller was my absolute favourite item in the Little Bit Lavish January Gems box. I’ve never seen ANY box include something like this and I love it!
All in all, it’s such a well-balanced box and a perfect one to start the year with.
If you haven’t tried Little Bit Lavish, I really recommend you trying it. You won’t be disappointed!
