When I first found out about Bows Beauty Box I immediately knew that I would not want to miss out on this new beauty box. Founded by 2 bloggers and curated with bloggers in mind, Bows Beauty Box launched this month.
‘If you didn’t already know, Debra-Bow (https://bowperalta.com// / @debraboww) & Rachel (http://rachelxblog.com/ / @rbb_xo) decided to create this box after having many conversations and definitely one too many dreams to create some sort of business relating to their passion for blogging.’
I loved how Bows Beauty Box was packaged. Such a thoughtful and personal touch, hand writing tags and wrapping the contents. As the song goes,
‘…brown paper packages tied up with string, these are a few of my favourite things’
It truly was like receiving an early Christmas present – and there was a Candy Cane too! Very festive!
The first item is this B Beauty Limited Cucumber Essence Mask (RRP £2.49). I’ve used their masks before and they are really lovely. They fit well and are most definitely beneficial to the skin. It was so lovely to see one of their mask in the Bows Beauty Box – great choice!
This Technic Colour Fix Cream Corrector Palette (RRP £5.00) was my very first Technic product. I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of this corrector palette, that I went on to buy more of their products and one of their 24 day Advents for my daughter.
This corrector palette has 8 different colours to help correct your skin.
- Pink to Brighten
- Lilac – To correct yellow/sallow skin tones & bruises
- Green – To minimise redness
- Peach – To neutralise blue tones
- Rose – To balance out any discolouration
- Silver Shimmer – to highlight and brighten
- Yellow – To neutralise purple dark patches
- Tan – To warm up ash coloured skin tones
Pure Potions Skin Salvation Intensive Moisturising Ointment (RRP £7.99) – This is a really fantastic little pot. I suffer with psoriasis, especially on my elbows and this salve stops all irritation, soothing, calming and moisturising the area really well. My skin is easily irritated and so this was a great discovery!
I have come to really adore and appreciate facial oils over the last year and this Dr. Botanicals Japanese Orange Superfood Facial Oil (RRP £67.00) is really fantastic.
This facial oil is perfect for my sensitive, dry skin, as it has a whole host of beneficial ingredients, including essential fatty acids, Vitamins A, C and E found in the Rose Otto, Neroli and Sea Buckthorn Fruit oils that make up the main formulation of this facial oil.
These ingredients will help calm, nourish and hydrate my skin, plus help with visible signs of ageing too. Replenishing & rejuvenating my skin also, leaving it smoother and firmer as well.
Best of all this facial oil, in fact all of the Dr. Botanicals range, are not tested on animals and are Vegan certified; they contain 100% natural ingredients. No parabens and no preservatives.
The final item in the Bows Beauty Box is this Earth Conscious ‘Spice’ Natural Deodorant (RRP £5.00). If you are looking for a 100% natural deodorant then you should try this one. Aluminium free, no parabens and no synthetic fragrances make this an excellent and healthier choice not only for you and your body but for the environment too. The antibacterial properties of this eco-friendly deodorant work hard to eliminate body odour. It has a very natural, earthy spice scent to it that is subtle and not the least bit overpowering and is definitely a very unisex scent too.
This was Bows Beauty Box first box and I was really impressed with their selection of products. A nice variation of skin care and not too heavy on the make up. For me personally, I like that there were more skin care products than there was make up.
It was also excellent value for money too as the retail value of the box was over £85.00 and I paid just £13.99 inc p&p. Pretty amazing really.
Debra and Rachel curated some really excellent products and introduced me to brands that I didn’t know about, or had heard of but had never tried. In fact, the only brand I had tried before was B Beauty Limited. There is nothing I love more than discovering new products and brands through beauty boxes.
This box has sold out now but if you are interested in purchasing the next Bows Beauty Box, I suggest you follow their Twitter account. I believe the next box will possibly be in February 2017, so keep your eyes peeled!
