It always kills me having to wait longer than others to receive my Dollibox as my payment doesn’t come out till the 19th of the month so I have to try to avoid all spoilers on social media. I have managed not to spoil myself the July 2016 Dollibox so I had no idea what the contents of Julys box were.
This PostQuam Vida Gold Hand Cream is a Spanish brand and is meant to nourish, hydrate, regenerate and relax whilst protecting against external factors such as wind, cold, sun and household detergents. It contains vitamins A, E, Salicylic acid and regenerating colloidal gold. It leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth. You can also use this cream on your feet, elbows and knees. It has a really lovely scent to it too. It absorbs easily into the skin and doesn’t leave any residue. (RRP £12.00 full size)
To protect and moisturise our lips there is this Malibu Lip Gloss ‘Coconut‘ SPF30 in the July 2016 Dollibox. Malibu is a British suncare brand and this lip gloss is a summer essential. It’s extra resistant to sun and win and has sun protection of 30. They are also the ideal size to travel with. (RRP £1.50)
The Di Blasi Mulitasking Butter Make up Remover contains organic lemon essential oils, shea and mango butter. It removes all traces of make-up and is ideal for all skin types. It can also be used as a face cream, hand cream or lip balm, and even a sunburn remedy. I have no problem with the quality of this product, it definitely does what it says, and feels lovely but the smell is horrible to me. It might very well be just me but it smells like sawdust; it was just not pleasant at all, especially given the ingredients.
EDIT: I have since received feedback from Di Blasi Cosmetics and they explained that it may be the fact that the scent of the Lemon Essential Oil can fade and as they don’t use any parfum (which is great for us folks with sensitive skin) it might be why I couldn’t smell it at all. It is something they are working on to solve and improve, so that you can still smell the scent of the Lemon Essential Oil. (RRP £35.00 for full size. Included was a Mini pot)
The New CID i Colour Long Wear Cream Eye Shadow in Chocolate Opal is really pigmented. It’s very creamy and has a firm mousse texture. It’s very easy to blend and claims not to crease. (RRP £15.00 full size)
I was pretty happy to receive this pack of Magi:Bobble as I have really long hair and tend to wear it up a lot, especially during the hot weather we are currently having. This was a pack of 5 and they are designed to avoid dragging your hair away from your scalp, therefore reducing the head tension that other bobbles can cause. They don’t cause kinks and they hold the hair securely without pulling or snagging. They are available in 8 colours and I got the clear ones, as you can see. ( RRP £2.95 Pack of 5 full size)
The last item is not listed so I’m assuming this was a bonus item and is a TanOrganic Certified Self Tanning Oil.
Excellent Facial and Body Tan with ultra moisturising ingredients, voted the best Facial Tan in 2013 by RSVP magazine. TanOrganic Sunless Tanning Oil gives a visibly luxurious tan that lasts up to 4 days after application. It ensures unrivalled ease of application and optimal moisturising with no oily effect. Its citrus scent leaves a delicate, fresh fragrance with a unique moisturising action.
(RRP 100ml £24.99/ 25ml £6.25 received.)
My Overall Thoughts on the July 2016 Dollibox
This month’s box was definitely still geared towards summer and keeping ourselves protected and moisturised. I was very happy with everything, even the make-up remover if it wasn’t for that awful smell. Maybe it’s just me! lol I really expected it to smell lovely, and fruity but it just didn’t.
This is still such a great value box though for the money. The total cost of the products you receive each month is well over the price you pay.
