I might not be a University student myself but when I sawย Unibox had an offer to get their January Uniboxย for free, of course I had to get it. All I had to do was pay for posting. So it was perfect.
This subscription box is essentially a care package for University Students but would just as well suit someone who is studying at home. I saw they had an offer to get their January Unibox free, you just had to pay for posting. So it was perfect.
After years of hearing about families not knowing what to send their loved ones whilst they were at university, nor finding the time to do so, and worrying about how they were coping, we decided to help and create the care packages we wished we had gotten!
The Unibox is a service for parents, family and friends of university students. Every month we will send out a care package with the best and most appropriate content to enhance your loved oneโs university experience. The perfect student hamper.

This box is perfect for families to send to their loved ones whilst they are away studying. Or just to brighten someone’s day who is currently studying at home.ย Unibox work closely with brands and partners so they can ensure that each month their boxes contain useful,ย fun and relevant items. They also take the academic calendar into consideration, to make sure the items are relevant.
So, what did I get in my January Unibox? Let’s take a look, shall we?
Teech ยฃ20.00 credit – You get a ยฃ20.00 credit to use at Teech. What is Teech? Well, it’s an app you can download to your phone that will give you access to ‘teechers’. If you need helps with something, you just take a pic of your question, adding your level and course. This is then sent direct to a teechers phone. They will work on the question, then they will get back to you and explain how best to tackle the problem.
Bubble Off Tonka Bean & Lime Room Spray – This smells absolutely gorgeous and I have used this nearly every day since I got the January Unibox. Tonka beans smell very similar to vanilla and the lime is really zesty and fresh. It’s just a really lovely fragrance and it keeps the room smelling fab for hours.
Purition Protein Shakes – Gluten free, high in fibre and protein these Purition protein shake powders are the perfect meal replacement. With a balanced blend of natural ingredients they give you everything you need nutritionally from a meal but only take 30 seconds to make. My son tried these and said the chocolate one was really nice. He wasn’t overly keen on the Macadamia & Vanilla one though.
NomNom Proper Welsh Chocolate ‘Honeycomb’ – ย This was a little bitter for me, I’m sad to say. I’m not a massive fan of dark chocolate though, so that’s probably why. ย I usually go for milk chocolate and white chocolate is my favourite. I think people who love dark chocolate would definitely love this. I like the Honeycomb running through it though. The texture was great.
Teapigs Popcorn Tea – I was pleasantly surprised to see a brand such as Teapigs in the January Unibox. They make quality teas. I don’t usually drink tea and when I do, it’s always a fruit one. ย These are actually really nice and they really do taste a lot like sugar puffs in a cup!
Green tea with a popcorny, almost nutty undertone. Best described as โSugar Puffs in a cupโ โ truly unique. – Teapigs
Spare Fruit Apple Crisps – These are air-dried apple crisps. Tasty, crispy and all the fruity goodness of apple! Yummy!
VรOST Vitamin Ca – Just take 1 of these dissolved in 200ml of water each day to keep your nerves and muscles functioning healthily. It will also provide strength for your bones and teeth too!

The January Unibox was actually pretty impressive. You get a lot of useful items and I am sure anyone living away from home whilst studying at University would really appreciate a care package like this each month.
I really the fact that they include a personalised handwritten note. In the January Unibox, this was the blue penguin card you can see in the photos. It’s a really nice, personal touch.
