It seems to have come around really quickly to receive my Degustabox for December 2016. It turned up a few days before Christmas, which was great.
As always, the box is packaged well and any products that are fragile are wrapped in bubble wrap for extra protection to prevent any breakages.
What’s in the Box?
So, let’s take a look at everything that was included in the Degustabox for December 2016, shall we?
Newton’s Appl Fizzics £1.29
This is a really refreshing blend of apple juice and sparkling water. It’s bursting with flavour and has no added sugars or sweeteners either. Just all-natural. This is a great alternative to soft drinks as it has 40% less sugar than apple juice on its own.
Eisberg £1.39
I haven’t had Eisberg in years so I was really pleased to see it in the Degustabox for December 2016. It was a pleasant surprise trying this again because of medication I can’t drink alcohol anymore. This has a really nice fruity flavour and everything that I enjoy about Sauvignon Blanc but with the alcohol gently removed. Plus, it’s only 28kcal per 125ml serving too. I enjoyed it that much, I grabbed 1 of their other flavours for Christmas. The red wine was really lovely. I’ve yet to try the rose.
Nutri-Brex £3.79
This coconut & crispy rice cereal contains an ancient grain, Sorghum, It’s naturally gluten-free, fortified with vitamins and high in fibre. With a slight hint of cinnamon and coconut, this makes a really tasty and healthy choice for breakfast.
Gallo Risotto Box £2.00
With no artificial colourings, hydrogenated fat or MSG, you can make yourself a creamy al dente Italian Risotto in just over a minute. My daughter tried this but she didn’t like the taste of it at all, she thought it tasted weird. She’s never had any kind of Risotto before so I’m not sure what she was expecting. I think this is a convenient, quick snack and ideal to take to work or if you haven’t got time to make lunch.
Bite+ Multi-Grain Flakes £1.69 x 2
This was quite weird trying multi-grain flakes that are savoury. They are low in fat, high in fibre and contain enough for 2 servings per bag. The sour cream & onion were quite tasty but no one liked the Falafel flavour. I think these are a great idea though and I’d definitely like to try the other flavours.
a2 Milk™ £1.39
I’m not a massive fan of milk and really only have it on cereal. This milk is easier to digest because it is naturally free from the A1 protein which can trigger symptoms related to lactose intolerance. It’s not recommended if you have a cow’s milk protein allergy though.
Maggi 3 Minute Noodles £ 0.75 x 2
I have to admit that I do love instant chicken noodles; such a quick and easy meal. I really enjoyed these noodles. They had a lot of flavours and were really tasty noodles. I’d definitely purchase these in the future.
Bahlsen Lebkuchen Mischung £1.99
These cute little cookies are made of soft gingerbread, covered in chocolate and have an assortment of glazing on them. I’ve never been really keen on these soft types of gingerbread cookies but these were pretty nice.
Bahlsen Akora £1.99
Now, these heart-shaped cookies I did like. Each one of these gingerbread cookies is filled with a really tasty spicy jam, and covered in chocolate. To me, the jam just tasted sweet and fruity though.
Hoots Snacks £0.69 x 2
I really enjoyed these tasty snacks. They’re little multigrain baked snacks and have a lot of flavours. I particularly liked the Salt & Vinegar flavour and they made a really lovely alternative to crisps. They’re a great source of fibre, with no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and are also suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Overall Thoughts on the Degustabox for December 2016
The Degustabox for December 2016 has some really great stuff in it. I’m glad to have discovered Hoot Snacks, Maggi Noodles and also re-discovering Eisberg too. It’s such a great subscription for finding out about new products and maybe some that you might not have come across before.
There is always a good variety in each box as well. You get snack items, drinks and also items you can make meals with.
I’d definitely recommend Degustabox to anyone because not only do you get 10-15 items a month but it’s such great value too.
Perfect for families as there is something for everyone in each box.
