The months are rolling by so quickly and I cannot believe we are now in June! Where did the last 6 months go? At least we are starting to see some really nice, sunny days though and that is just perfect to be trying out the Picnic themed May DegustaboxUK.

So, let’s take a look at what was in the May DegustaboxUK, shall we?
Deli Kitchen Skinni Wraps £1.25
Wraps are an ideal alternative to sandwiches to take on a picnic and these Skinni Wraps are just great! Best of all they are only 91K per wrap, so you can tuck into these without the guilt! Plus, if you take the wraps & fillings, you’re not going to end up with anything remotely resembling a soggy sandwich!
Millions 2 x£0.50 Chocolate / 1 x 0.60 Sour
Millions have been around for a number of years since 1992 actually. They already have 9 flavours and are adding these Milk Covered Strawberry Millions, and Sour Strawberry Millions. You can’t really go wrong with these as a tasty treat and not just for kids. I love sour things and the sour ones were just that. A nice addition to their existing flavours.
Cereal Lovers Crunch Time Nuggets £1.59
This was actually a really pleasant discovery for me. Delicious little clusters of granola to snack on. It’s funny because I don’t like granola as a cereal. These, however, I really enjoyed. They have a really pleasant crunch, just the right amount of sweetness and are just really tasty. It was something different to snack on too, and as a Type 2 Diabetic, I’m always on the lookout for alternative snacks, as it contains all-natural ingredients. Definitely, something I will look to purchase myself.
You received one of three flavours, Forest, Chocolate or Sunshine.
Cadbury Dairy Milk Peanut Caramel Crisp £3.49
This was a BIG bar of chocolate and is one of the new flavours from the Cadbury Dairy Milk Big Taste range. It has a peanut filling, with peanut pieces, crunchy crispies and then it has sticky, gooey caramel & peanut halves to top it off. The family liked it but did say it was a bit too much and quite sickly. I guess it’s a good thing it’s meant for sharing then!
Portlebay Popcorn £0.79
This was a really tasty popcorn but for me, just a little too hot. I don’t do well with hot/spicy things and whilst I loved the flavour, that kick of heat at the end was a little too fierce for my taste buds. If you like spicy or hot, then I am sure you will love this popcorn! Portlebay Popcorn is ‘made using 100% natural ingredients too; unrefined cane sugar, rapeseed oil & the finest butterfly corn from the Pyrenees.’
Homepride Strong White Bread Flour £1.50
Homepride is a brand that I have known for years, even when I was a little girl and my Nan would let me help her bake cakes and pastry, she always used Homepride flour. This flour is a new edition and is made with 100% wheat. There’s a great easy recipe on the back of the information leaflet that comes with the May DegustaboxUK.
MOMA Gluten Free Raspberry & Coconut Bircher Muesli £3.20
Sadly the box got a little dented in transit. I don’t like coconut, so I haven’t tried this myself but the family liked it. Overnight oats seem very popular at the moment and I would have loved to have tried this if it weren’t for the coconut. I just can’t get past the taste of it. They recommend adding either yoghurt or apple juice to give you overnight oats in 5 minutes.
Hippeas In Herbs We Trust £1.50
As you can see these are puffs of organic chickpeas and I have to say, they surprised me because they were really good. Honestly, I expected them to taste pretty bad but they didn’t. They were light, airy and crispy and full of flavour. They make a really healthy snack alternative to crisps!
Crabbie’s Original Alcoholic Ginger Beer £1.89
I couldn’t try this because I can’t have alcohol. Instead, Andy got to indulge. He loves ginger beer anyway, so this was right up his street. He really enjoyed it at any rate.
Crabbie’s Original Alcoholic Ginger Beer is 6 weeks in the making using real Asian ginger with a secret recipe using only a handful of ingredients. It’s also gluten-free too!
Zeo Soft Drinks £1.19
This was one of four flavours you could have received in your May DegustaboxUK. It’s a really refreshing blend of spring water and natural fruit juices. The Orange & Mango flavour was lovely.
Bean Bags Proper Coffee in A Bag Striking El Salvador £4.50
Striking El Salvador Bean Bags – a single origin; rich fruity coffee with a tasteful punch. Bursting with flavour showcasing a sweetness with dark chocolate tones.
I’m not a coffee drinker, so Andy has been using these and he really likes them. He said they make a really lovely cup of coffee and are quick, easy and no mess to make. Just pop them in a cup of hot water & they’re good to go! They’re also Eco-friendly pyramid bags & filled with 100% Arabica Coffee.
Candy Kittens £3.00
There were four flavours of Candy Kittens that you could have received in the May DegustaboxUK. I got the Sour Watermelon flavour. Of all the items I received, these were my favourites – and I don’t usually like anything that is Watermelon flavoured either! These were just so moreish though. I’d definitely love to try more from their range of sweets. I was really impressed with them!
Overall Thoughts About The May DegustaboxUK
I really enjoyed the contents of the May DegustaboxUK. Lots of items to try & there will definitely be some items I will look out for to purchase myself.
My standout product was the Candy Kittens Sour Watermelons. I also really enjoyed the Cereal Lovers Crunchtime Nuggets too.
You get a really great selection of food and drink items to try each month. I love finding out what’s going to be coming to the supermarket or has just launched.
There is actually a really great offer if you decide to sign up to DegustaboxUK for the first time which is valid till 30.06.17
