I’ve never had the luxury of going to a salon for a facial or any other kind of beauty treatment. It’s not exactly in my budget. That no longer matters though because I discovered a whole range of products from SBC Gels, Simply Beautiful Collection that leaves my skin feeling really fantastic.
I got the opportunity to try several products from the SBC Gels Collagen Collection.
- 3-in-1 Collagen Cleanser + Shammy
- Collagen Skincare Gel
- Vitamin ACE Day & Night Cream
This range of collagen skincare products essentially offers you collagen treatments at prices that won’t break the bank. These products help to plump, and hydrate and also reduce fine lines and wrinkles. If you have mature, dehydrated skin, then these are definitely products you should try.
My skin is sensitive and dry. It can sometimes be dull and I also have a few fine lines creeping in too. I’m pretty picky about what I put on my skin because it can react very badly to some products. In particular, products containing alcohol.
I used all of the SBC Collagen Collection products without even the slightest reaction at all. Which is fantastic.
Collagen 3-in-1 Cleanser & Shammy £25.00 250ml
This is such a beautiful cleanser. It’s rich, creamy and smells so lovely; a fresh, almost citrus-like scent. Its main ingredients are really beneficial to the skin:-
- Cocoa Butter: moisturising, nourishing, anti-oxidant
- Soluble Collagen (Oceagen®): hydrating, smoothing, anti-ageing
- Shea Butter: improves skin tone
- Passion Flower Oil: anti-inflammatory, calming
- Kukui Seed Oil: tropical nut oil, moisturising, hydrating, anti-ageing
- Papaya Seed Oil: conditioning, moisturising
- Vitamin E: anti-oxidant, nourishing, repairing
You only need 1 or 2 pumps to cleanse your face. I only used 2 pumps on the odd occasion I had any makeup on. With a bare face, I really only needed just one pump.
I don’t wear makeup very often but the times I did, this removed it without any problem. I don’t know how effective it would be on removing waterproof mascara as I never wore any.
This cleanser also gives your skin a really mild, gentle exfoliation. My skin was definitely smoother and brighter after use.
Skin Shammy Face Cloth
Removing the cleanser afterwards is also really easy thanks to the shammy that comes with the 250ml & 500ml sizes. It’s sealed in a hygienic packet when you receive it. Make sure to rinse it out with warm water thoroughly before you use it. This shammy is great for sensitive skins like my own. There’s no roughness to it at all and it wipes away any residue cleanser with ease. You just rinse with warm water afterwards and allow it to dry. This shammy can also be machine washed at 40°C on a regular basis too.
There are quite a few benefits to using a shammy over a regular face cloth:-
- More hygienic than a face towel or flannel as it dries hard quickly after use thus preventing germs from breeding
- Removes all traces of cleanser
- Super soft, it is gentle on all skin types, especially sensitive
- Ideal for men as a shaving cloth
- Retains water
- Gentle cleansing
Collagen Skincare Gel £19.00 250ml
I’ve come to absolutely adore this product and I use it every night as a kind of sleeping pack. Basically, I use a night moisturiser at night, then my last step is to apply this over it and my skin the next morning, is so plump and hydrated and soft. Absolutely love this product so much, that I cannot sing its praises enough!
Surprisingly, this product has Alcohol Denat in its ingredients BUT it doesn’t irritate my skin at all. It just feels incredibly fresh and hydrating on my skin. It also contains Hydrolyzed Marine Collagen, which is hydrating, smoothing and anti-ageing.
This gel has a really fresh, sort of subtle floral yet citrus scent. It’s hard to describe but it smells really nice.
Vitamin ACE Day & Night Cream – £34.00 100ml
Oh, this little pot of pretty pink Oxysomes! This day & night cream is an absolute pleasure to use. Where do I start with the beneficial ingredients of this cream?! They are:-
- Shea Butter: nourishing, healing, protecting, moisturising, soothing
- Tomato Seed Oil: vitamin-rich, brightening, anti-oxidant, hydrating
- Vitamin A: cell regeneration, anti-ageing, moisturising
- Vitamin C: brightening, lightening, strengthening, anti-ageing
- Vitamin E: anti-oxidant, nourishing, repairing
- Olive Fruit Oil: moisturising, softening, smoothing
- Fennel Oil: anti-oxidant, anti-ageing
Ah, but the real magic is the tiny Oxysomes that are in this cream.
The tiny pink Oxysomes are the latest technology in advanced delivery systems. Each one encapsulates Vitamin C to brighten and Vitamin E to refine. Combine these with the other ingredients and you have a powerful combination of superfoods from the Mediterranean extracts of Tomato, Olive and Fennel Oils. Blended together with Vitamin A, they really help to moisturise, firm and brighten your dull, dry skin. This really does leave your skin looking youthful and radiant.
As you apply the cream to your skin, the tiny Oxysomes burst and deliver Vitamin C & E to your skin. They blend in with the cream and absorb into the skin easily. Leaving your skin feeling simply amazing. The Vitamin ACE Day & Night cream also smells absolutely gorgeous too.
Overall Thoughts About The SBC Gels Collagen Collection
I’ve really enjoyed trying these products as they’ve all been fantastic. I think my favourite out of them is the Collagen Skincare Gel but the others come an extremely close second to it.
Overall my skin really felt a lot more radiant and hydrated whilst using these products from the SBC Gels Collagen Collection. They were kind to my dry, sensitive skin and I’d definitely recommend them to anyone with more mature skin that needs a new lease of life.
