Prepare in advance
The best way to make sure you have a stress free Christmas is to make sure you are preparing way in advance. If it is a big day you planned like having friends and family over, or you just have a large family at home, then you need to put a plan in place early so you can start preparing. Write up what you need and want for the day and start collecting it up ready.
The further in advance that you can get things the better. Obviously, the food you cannot get too far in advance but material things you can and usually it is cheaper as it is not near to Christmas yet. Prepping in advance also goes for the food. You can start preparing the vegetables and anything that can be done the night before this will give you less to do on the day and give you more family time, making sure desserts are all prepared the night before or depending on the dessert even a few days before.
Know gifts in advance
Knowing what gifts you need to get and what type of gifts in advance is a great way to get ahead of schedule and beat the mad rush at Christmas. If you leave it to late to get gifts, then it can be that they are sold out by the time you go to do your shopping; it is also best to get an understanding of what gifts people would like, do they want ethical Christmas gifts, beauty gifts, sports stuff, or even clothes there is so much that someone would want so getting some information as early as possible is best. That way, you can actually buy stuff when it becomes available or goes on sale with less stress as you already know everything you will need to get.
