Korean skincare and beauty is becoming ever more popular in the UK. The trouble is finding reliable places to shop for Korean products that are actually based in the UK. Seoul Skincare is a UK-based online store that sells leading brands of Korean skincare.
If you’ve never tried Korean skin care you are truly missing out on something quite fabulous. Korean skincare is 15 years ahead of the UK in terms of innovation, research and development. It is the best skin care in the world. If you haven’t tried any Korean skincare yet, you really should.
Anyway, just before Christmas I was approached by Seoul Skincare who offered to send me a selection of their products to try out and review. They were so fantastic as they asked about my skin and sent me products to suit my skins needs.
The owner of Seoul Skincare, Hannah spent months researching skin concerns, skin types and most importantly, the best ingredients. She wanted to put the best Korean products in her shop. The products she selected will treat anything from deep wrinkles to spots to pores.
As you can see, Hannah essentially sent me a whole skin care routine. Which is just amazing! I was quite overwhelmed and blown away to receive so many Korean skincare products to try.
The products sent to me were from two brands that I’m not really familiar with. Actually, one of them is totally brand new to me. Deoproce and Secret Nature.
So let’s take a closer look at the products I was kindly sent by Seoul Skincare.
Deoproce Deep Cleansing Rice rrp £10.00 – This is a second step cleanser. It contains extracts of Soybean,Wheat seed, Barley seed, corn seed and sesame seed. This provides a very gentle exfoliation as well as a deep cleansing. The rice water helps to brighten and even out your skin tone too.
I’m not always a fan of wash off cream cleansers but I have to say, this one is really lovely. It’s very gently on my sensitive, dry skin. It’s creamy and lathers up nicely. You can feel real teeny tiny exfoliating particles in it, that provide that gentle exfoliation of the dead skin. Oh and it smells really lovely too.
Secret Nature From Jeju Peeling Gel rrp £12.00 on sale
£18.00 – This is a certified organic product. It contains over 97% natural ingredients, it is hypoallergenic and is free from artificial colours, fragrances, parabens, benzophenone and talc.
I absolutely LOVE this peeling gel. It’s so gentle, yet so effective at removing dead skin cells. It leaves your skin feeling so soft and looking so much brighter too. It doesn’t leave your skin feeling tight or dry either.
Secret Nature Moringa Seed Toner rrp £16.00 – Known for its purifying effects, the Moringa seed is often added to dirty water in less developed countries as it absorbs impurities, returning the water back to pH7. This toner has an abundance of beneficial ingredients
With 4 times more Calcium than milk; 4 times more Vitamin A than a carrot; 3 times more protein than a bean; 3 times more Calcium than a banana; 7 times more Vitamin C than an orange; 3 times more Iron than spinach and 5 times more Zinc than a raw oyster!
This toner can be used to help strengthen your skins barrier. Quite often the reason skin can be sensitive is that its barrier needs repairing. So this product is great if you have sensitive skin like myself. It also helps to clear spots and pores. Not only that but it brightens the tone of your skin and can help fade freckles as well.
It’s viscosity is a little thicker than water and it feels really nice on the skin. Leaving it soft and prepared for the rest of your skincare routine. Unlike some other toners, it doesn’t leave your skin feeling tight or dried out either. It also happens to smell really lovely too.
Deoproce Snow White Cream rrp £18.00 – Inside this pretty pink packaging is a gel moisturiser with a brightening effect. As you can see from the image above it has tiny white cream bubbles running through the clear gel. When you apply this gel to your skin and gently rub, these creamy bubbles burst.
With sea water, hydrolysed collagen, Algae extract, Marine and white flower complex as well as ascorbic acid, this cream brightens the skin tone and can also fades dark spots, freckles, acne scars and hyper-pigmentation.
I love how this moisturiser works. The tiny white cream bubbles just burst on your skin and transform this clear gel into a light, creamy moisturiser. It has a really light, subtle floral scent which smells amazing. It does leave the skin looking brighter too, plus really soft.
Deoproce Spider Web Multi-Care Essence rrp £20.00 – Yes, you read right, Spider Web!! This beautifully packaged Deoproce Essence contains Spiderweb protein, Hyaluronic Acid and Amino Acid Complex. The spider web consists of protein and moisture. It essentially acts like a water trap, retaining moisture. It also forms a protective, hydrating layer over the skin too.
It’s a really nice viscosity, absorbs well and leaves the skin feeling nice and hydrated. No irritation on my sensitive skin either. I definitely noticed a difference as to how well my skin held moisture.
Deoproce Colour Synergy Sheet Masks rrp £2.00 each – Hannah also sent me an assortment of 4 of the Deoproce sheet masks to try too.
- Blue – Hydrolysed Collagen and Seaweed Complex – Targets: Fine lines and wrinkles, Loss of elasticity, Dry skin, Spots and pores
- Purple – Red Wine and Blueberry – Targets: Fine lines and wrinkles, Elasticity, Spots and pore, Dry skin
- Brown – Oriental Herbal Complex and Red Ginseng – Targets: Fine lines and wrinkles, Elasticity, Skin texture
- Pink – Raspberry and Lotus Flower – Targets: Fine lines and wrinkles, Age spots, Uneven skin tone, Dull skin
The sheet masks are a really nice fit and are soaked in essence. The pictures above are of the Purple Red Wine and Blueberry Mask.
You can really smell the wine predominantly, with an underlying hint of blueberry. I left the mask on for 15 minutes. Afterwards, my skin felt hydrated, firmer and more bouncy. I also noticed that under my eyes, the fine lines had diminished and it looked plumper too. You can also notice that the deep line between my eyebrows is less visible too. This mask was supposed to target :-
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Spots and pores
- Dry skin
I was very pleased with the results and I definitely think it lived up to its claims. At just £2.00 a mask, I think these are fantastic and very affordable.
Deoproce Special Water Plus Sleeping Pack rrp £24.00 – To finish off the night, I have this sleeping pack by Deoproce. It contains Niacinamide, Adenosine, soybean, hydrolysed collagen, sodium hyaluronate and more!
This is a really light weight water sleeping pack but it packs a real hydrating punch. First off, it smells wonderful. Second, it leaves your skin so soft and hydrated. It really does make dull, lifeless skin come to life. When I use this my skin positively glows the next day.
These products were all outstanding and I really enjoyed and still enjoy using them. I’m so glad to have discovered Deoproce and Secret Nature through Seoul Skincare.
I think they are exceptionally affordable too. I’d most definitely like to try more from them in the future.
