We finally had a day of sunshine today after having had rain most days. I honestly thought Summer was over as it has definitely felt a lot more Autumnal than anything. I’ll be honest I should have had this post ready over a week ago but I have procrastinated because I was stressing over some personal stuff. Anyhoo, I’m finally here with the Degusta Box for July 2023.

What is Degusta Box All About?
So, if you are new here and have never heard of Degusta Box UK I’ll quickly explain what it is and how it works.
Degusta Box UK is a monthly subscription box that contains between 10-15 items each month, most of which are new to the market. The products are chosen and put together by a team of specialists who look for foods that are versatile, innovative, and delicious. You can read some of my reviews for previous boxes here. It costs £12.99 per month. You can also find a discount at the end of the post. So, that means you’ll pay just £7.99 for your first box!
Degusta Box July 2023 Theme & Contents
July’s Degusta Box had a them of ‘Summer and Get Outdoor’s; probably not the best timing with the wonderful British weather! So, lets take a look at the 12 items that were in the July box.
What’s In The Box? Sweet Treats

Plantastic Millionaire Flapjacks (rrp £2.25)
On first bite I thought, ok, wow, these are really tasty but then it just became quite dry and just not very nice. Maybe with a cup of tea or coffee they’d be a lot better but I personally found them just too dry and claggy after a few chews. My sons girlfriend on the other hand thought they were fantastic and loved them. Plus, she wanted to know where she could buy them in future. Goes to show everyone has very different taste!
Available Tesco & ALDI

Product of the Month
Muscle Moose The Dinky Protein Bar (rrp £1.50)
Okay, this dinky protein bar was so friggin’ tasty, like seriously delicious. Took me completely by surprise if I am honest because I didn’t really expect all that much from it. It had everything, texture, flavour and a whole heap of protein, 11g to be precise! Low sugar, high protein, it’s a perfect alternative snack for me being diabetic.
Available at ASDA

KIND Snacks Thins Dark Chocolate Nuts and Sea Salt Multipack (£2.50 ea)
You would have received one of two flavours in your July box. I got the Dark Chocolate & Sea Salt. I don’t like any kind of nut bar, so I let the others try these and they gave them two thumbs up!
Available at ASDA

Mentos Gum Pure Fresh Cherry Chewing Gum (£2.50 ea)
I have actually bought these before but they were ina plastic tub then. Now they are in a recyclabe paper bottle. Much better in this packaging for sure. I love that they are also sugar free; still full of cherry flavour though!
Available in major supermarket chains
What’s in the Box? Savoury

KETTLE Chips Sriracha Mayo(£1.50 each)
These chips are inspired by street market food around the world. With the spicy taste of sriracha and the ceamy taste of mayo. Not for me as I don’t do spicy and I don’t like mayo either! lol Andy liked them though and said he would eat them again, so I guess that’s a plus.
Available at Tesco, and Waitrose
What’s In The Box? Cereals

Jordan’s Country Crisp Limited Edition Red Velvet (£3.80 ea)
Lots of golden and cream cheese flavoured red clusters with pieces of chocolatey brownies. It was a real taste experience eating this. Did I love it? Hmm, not really, it was okay but I don’t think I would eat it again. Just too much going on for me.
Available in Waitrose, & Ocado
What’s In The Box? Drinks

SXOLLIE xider Cripps Pink xider 330ml Bottle (£1.80 each)
If memory serves me right I think we’ve had this brand in a previous box. It was really nice though, drank it chilled and it is without one of the nicest ciders that I have had. It’s made purely from Cripps Pink Apples, so no added sugar or concentrate and it’s also Vegan-friendly.
Available at Sainsbury's, Morrisons & on Amazon Prime and www.sxollie.com

Boost Iced Coffee Cafe Latte or Caramel Latte (£ 1.19)
I don’t drink coffee, so I passed this on for the others to argue over! Andy ended up drinking it and he said it was really lovely and creamy. You would have received one of two flavours available.
Available at convenience stores and on Amazon

Dalston’s Soda Peach Soda and Rhubarb Soda (£2.00 each)
I love these sodas, they’re just so nice and refreshing. They’re made with real fruit, no added sugar, no artficial sweeteners and no artificial flavours. Chilled and poured over ice, they are perfect! You would have received both of these flavours in your July Degusta Box.
Available at Waitrose, Sainsbury's, ASDA and on OCADO
What’s In The Box? Sauces

Sauce Shop Honey Chipotle BBQ Sauce (£2.75 each)
This is made in the UK using natural ingredients. We were waiting for a chance to try this out when we next had a BBQ but the weather has been so unpredicatable we haven’t had chance yet. I can imagine it makes a fantastic glaze though! I tried a little bit on my finger and it has such a lovely flavour to it but still has that surprise punch of heat too.
Available at Tesco, Sainsbury's, ASDA, Morrisons & Booths

Very Lazy Cajun Paste (£2.00 each)
As I’ve probably mentioned before we are big fans of Very Lazy but this is one that we haven’t tried yet. Again, we were hoping to try this as amarinade with chikcen or something then grill it over the BBQ. I have no doubt that it’s yummy though, as all their pastes are so good!
Available at Tesco, ASDA, Morrisons
My Overall Thoughts On The Degusta Box July 2023

The Degusta Box for July 2023 had 12 items and I loved 4 of them lol but as usual what I didn’t personally liked someone else in the family did. SO, nothing ever goes to waste!
My top picks for this box were the Dalston’s Sodas, the Mentos Pure Fresh Cherry Chewing Gum and the Muscle Moose Dinky Protein Bar which blew me away by how good it was.
