So, let me tell you a little bit about AA Skincare.

AA SKINCARE IS A NEW NATURAL SKINCARE

The AA Skincare range combines essentials oils with classic natural ingredients such as Frankincense & Rose, Almond & Sandalwood and Seaweed & Aloe to create fantastic products. AA Skincare wesbite

I first came across AA Skincare when I received their Seaweed & Aloe Refreshing Eye Gel in a Pink Parcel box. I really loved the eye gel so when I saw that AA Skincare were looking for bloggers to review their products, I jumped at the chance.

They wanted bloggers to review one of their moisturisers; we got to choose which one to review.

I asked to try out either the Frankincense & Rose, or the Jasmin, Mimosa & Rosehip as I liked the sound of both of them and couldn’t decide. AA Skincare kindly sent me both to try out.

AA Skincare Frankincense & Rose Moisturising Face Cream: Nourishing & Rejuvenating

First off, I really love AA Skincares packaging. I especially like that these moisturisers have a pump dispenser. This is far more hygienic than having to stick your fingers in a pot each day. Plus, you can measure the amount more accurately too.

This moisturiser has an abundance of active ingredients. that are listed on AA Skincares website:-

  • Frankincense Essential Oil is a rejuvenating tonic which can help to tighten slack skin around the face and slow down the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Rose Essential Oil can moisturise and hydrate the skin, it can help with inflammation on the skin as well as redness.
  • Geranium Essential Oil can help balance the oil production of the skin and help keep the skin supple.
  • Argan Oil is intensely moisturising, a great antioxidant and contains Vitamin A & E which can help protect the skin.
  • Vegetable Glycerine has great moisturising properties, provides lubrication and some of the smoothness of the cream.
  • Ginseng extract is popular as an anti-ageing ingredient and is highly regarded for its ability to boost the naturally produced skin-firming collagen.
  • Comfrey extract is thought to help reduce or prevent inflammation and contains allantoin which works to repair damaged skin tissue.
  • Lavender extract is another natural antiseptic with good soothing and calming properties to help keep your skin in good condition.
  • Chamomile helps calm skin and can aid the treatment of dry and itchy skin.
  • Beeswax is a naturally powerful softener and moisturiser for the skin.
  • Phospholipids act as a valuable anti-ageing ingredient due to their ability to help lock in moisture and help your skin stay hydrated.
  • Retinyl Palmitate helps regenerate the skin and acts as a gentle exfoliator.
  • Beta-Carotene is effective in helping the skin to regenerate and in treating dry skin.
  • Sweet Almond is rich in Vitamins A, B1, B2, B6 and E. It’s full of monounsaturated, polyunsaturated and saturated fatty acids. It conditions the skin and helps to promote a youthful, healthy complexion.
  • Glycerin has great moisturising and hydrating properties.

The Frankincense & Rose moisturiser has quite a subtle fragrance; you can definitely smell the Frankincense and the Rose in it. It has a rich, thick creamy texture and when applied to the skin it is easily absorbed. The natural ingredients it contains help to replenish, tired, dry skin, leaving it rejuvenated and hydrated.

I have dry and sensitive skin and my skin didn’t react to this moisturiser at all. It left my skin feeling very soft and hydrated. I did feel that my skin felt less tired after using this. I don’t have too many wrinkles really, something I am very pleased with being 45yrs old.

I do have a few fine lines under my eye but that’s about it really. I can’t say that I noticed any immediate difference around my eyes but the area did feel plumper and replenished. I think after prolonged use you would see some visible improvement.  I’ve been using it for 14 days now and I really like this moisturiser for when my skin is tired and feeling dry. It’s like a quenching drink of water to my skin.

AA Skincare Jasmin, Mimosa & Rosehip Moisturising Face Cream: Nourishing & Conditioning

Once again this Jasmin, Mimosa & Rosehip Moisturiser has a really great list of active ingredients listed on the website:-

  • Jasmin can help tone greasy, irritated and dry skin.
  • Mimosa can help soften and nourish skin. Antiseptic and astringent properties great for oily, sensitive skin.
  • Rosehip Oil has great rejuvenating and regenerating properties and is high in Vitamin C.
  • Lavender helps to sooth and calm skin and has great anti-inflammatory and balancing properties on the skin.
  • Chamomile helps calm skin and can aid the treatment of dry and itchy skin.
  • Ylang Ylang can help balance the production of sebum and has a toning effect on the skin.
  • Sweet Almond is rich in Vitamins A, B1, B2, B6 and E. It’s full of monounsaturated, polyunsaturated and saturated fatty acids. It conditions the skin and helps to promote a youthful, healthy complexion.
  • Comfrey Extract is thought to help reduce or prevent inflammation and contains allantoin which works to repair damaged skin tissue.
  • Beeswax is a naturally powerful softener and moisturiser for the skin.
  • Glycerin has great moisturising and hydrating properties.
  • Grapeseed Oil will help nourish skin and has great anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties
  • Green Tea is a renowned anti-oxidant and helps to fight the free radicals which cause wrinkling and other ageing signs on your skin.
  • Ginseng is popular as an anti-ageing ingredient and is highly regarded for its ability to boost the naturally produced skin-firming collagen.
  • Sunflower Oil is high in Vitamin E which helps lock in moisture and keep your skin feeling soft.
  • Rosemary’s natural anti-septic properties make it an effective acne treatment whilst helping the skin regenerate; reducing any signs of scarring.

I love Rosehip and I use Rosehip oil on my face every night. It’s so fantastic and is also a great anti-oxidant. I can’t stress enough how brilliant Rosehip is for your skin.

This cream, once again, has a pump dispenser, which is great. It has a rich, thick consistency yet it’s light at the same time and absorbs into the skin effortlessly. It has a really light floral scent; nothing overpowering though.

After using this moisturiser, my skin felt firmer & tighter but it also felt very soft and hydrated all day. I alternated this moisturiser with the Frankincense & Rose one every other morning.

Between the 2 of them they both did a fantastic job at keeping my dry skin very hydrated and nourished all day. My skin looked and felt, brighter and definitely felt rejuvenated and nourished.

I was really thrilled that they didn’t irritate or react with my sensitive skin either.

Both moisturisers are suitable for all skin types and they are also suitable for Vegetarians. (contains Beeswax)

They are also really affordable too, as they are only £7.98 for 50ml.

I think that’s pretty awesome when you take into account all the active and beneficial ingredients each moisturiser contains.

I would definitely recommend that you check these out and also the rest of AA Skincare and the other products they have available to purchase on their website!
