A Review of the Garnier Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water

I think I might have found my perfect cleanser in the shape of Garnier Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water. This remarkably affordable micellar water contains nourishing oils that are great for dry and sensitive skin. I had previously tried Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water and also the Garnier Pure Active Micellar Cleansing Water but when applying to my skin I felt quite a strong burning sensation, my skin would go bright red and become very irritated. It would calm down fairly quickly but my skin was always left feeling very tight.

I noticed that they did an oil-infused version that was supposedly suitable for dry and sensitive skin. So I decided to try it out after reading some reviews, which I have to say were pretty mixed. Some people claimed it left an oily residue behind, they didn’t like the scent, or it didn’t look very nice as the oil sat on top in the bottle and it wasn’t as good at getting waterproof mascara/make-up off as the original micellar water.

Well, all I can say is that since trying it, it has become a Holy Grail product for me. I even have it on Subscribe & Save at Amazon, so I will never run out. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this cleanser.

My Thoughts on Garnier Micella Oil-Infused Cleansing Water

That lovely, golden layer of oil once combined with the water leaves my skin feeling nourished, hydrated, clean and smelling wonderful. The scent isn’t really all that strong and it is certainly not unpleasant. I think I would describe it as slightly citrus & fresh. It flawlessly removes waterproof mascara, liquid lipsticks (even long-lasting ones that are a pain in the butt to remove) and any other make-up I have worn. I am always amazed at how much dirt it removes from my face even when I don’t wear make-up. You don’t realise just how grimy your skin gets in the day. Simply from things like touching your face, dust particles in the air etc.

My face has never felt oily after use and it leaves no residue behind. It doesn’t irritate my face like the others and it definitely does not leave my skin feeling tight and dry. I am so pleased that I tried this micellar water out because it is so perfect for my skin. It’s a really great price too, making it a really affordable cleanser to have in your skincare routine. The fact you don’t have to rinse too is one of the things I love about it. With having Degenerative Disc Disease, I prefer having products that I don’t have to stand in the bathroom to use. That’s because it’s extremely painful for me and I cannot stand for more than a minute at a time. I love to cleanse my skin but I don’t love to be in agony whilst doing so, you know.

So, if you have very sensitive, dry skin and have had problems finding a good cleanser, I really suggest trying this one out.
