Well, I’m not sure what’s happened to the weather lately. All we seem to have is rain and more rain with the odd thunderstorm thrown in. Also, how on earth are we already in July? This year really is flying by, don’t you think? Anyway, today I am sharing the contents of the Degusta Box for June 2021.
Now, if you are new here and have never heard of Degusta Box UK I’ll quickly explain what it is and how it works.
Degusta Box UK is a monthly subscription box that contains between 10-15 items each month, most of which are new to the market. You can read some of my reviews for previous boxes here. It costs £12.99 per month. You can also find a discount at the end of the post. So, that means you’ll pay just £9.99 for your first box!
Degusta Box For June 2021 Theme & Contents
The theme of the Degusta Box for June 2021 is picnic. At the rate the summer is shaping up though, it might have to be an indoor picnic. I swear this time last year was a lot hotter and we actually had sunny days!
What’s In The Box?: Drinks
XITE Nootropic Energy (rrp £1.50) – So, nootropics have been proven to increase cognitive function such as memory, creativity and motivation. Therefore, they make the perfect drink to take to the gym, or if you’re studying. They have zero sugar, contain natural caffeine and are also vegan too. How do they taste? This raspberry + watermelon was really nice and made a really refreshing drink chilled.
Caleño Drinks Light & Zesty Non-Alcoholic (rrp £2.00) – Really enjoyed this tropical tasting drink. It is a blend of Inca berry, pineapple, papaya, coriander, juniper berry, green cardamom and lemon peel.
What’s In The Box?: Sweet Treats
PLAYin Choc JustChocBox M.LK (rrp £1.69) – Given this is dairy, nut and gluten-free this bar was really creamy and very tasty. I was really impressed by it and it’s definitely one of the nicest chocolates I’ve ever tasted.
Product of the Month: McVitie’s British Icons Chocolate Digestives – Lemon Drizzle (rrp £1.59) – You would have received either this flavour or the Strawberry Cheesecake one in your Degusta Box for June 2021. I really enjoyed this flavour. The lemon flavour wasn’t overpowering and complemented the biscuit really well.
NINE White Choc & Raspberry, Dark Choc, Pistachio & Brazil (rrp £1.29) – If you like bars with seeds in then you’ll probably really enjoy these. They weren’t for me because I found the taste of the seeds overpowering the white chocolate and raspberry flavour. Though honestly, I’m just not a fan of seeds at all so it was always going to be a tough sell for me. Every bar has nine powerful health benefits, hence the name NINE. You would have received 2 of 3 available flavours. The other flavour was Salted caramel & Pecan.
The Coconut Collaborative Little Choc Pots (rrp £2.50) – You honestly would not know that these are made from coconut milk and I say that as someone who hates coconut! So creamy and very very tasty. A little taste of chocolate heaven in a pot!
What’s In The Box?: Savoury
Sun-Pat EXTRA Salted Caramel Crunchy Peanut Butter (rrp £3.00) As someone that isn’t a fan of peanut butter I left this to others in my family to try. It really did smell like salted caramel though. I think it took some getting used to as it’s quite a unique flavour. It got a thumbs up from everyone though.
Well&Truly Crunchies (rrp £0.80) – You would have received 2 of 3 flavours in your Degusta Box for June 2021. I tried the Really Cheesy flavour and thought they were really tasty. Loved the crunch they had and the cheese flavour tasted very natural. The Smokey Paprika flavour was fab too. These have 40% less fat than regular crisps. They are also gluten-free and made of 100% natural ingredients too.
Hellman’s Garlic & Herb Sauce 250ml Squeeze (rrp £1.70) – This has proven to be very popular with the family and they are loving it. I don’t like garlic so I will take their word for it! lol
Carr’s Black Olive Melts (rrp £1.49) – These are simply delicious! I really love the melting texture and they are really moreish too! You can eat them on their own but I do love them with cheese because cheese is everything!
Deli Kitchen Carb Lite Wraps (rrp £1.40) – These vegan-friendly wraps have just 14.6g of carbohydrates, they’re high in fibre and are a source of protein too. So great for making a really quick snack at any time of the day!
5 Seconds Kimchi Mix (rrp £1.20) – We haven’t actually used this yet but can’t wait to try it out. You can also use it on tacos, kebabs, pizza, rice, potato fries and noodles.
My Overall Thoughts On The Degusta Box For June 2021
The Degusta Box for June 2021 had some pretty good items in it. I could see the majority of them being good to use for a picnic – we just need the weather for it now!
My favourite products from the June box were the McVitie’s Lemon Drizzle Chocolate Digestives, the PLAYin CHOC JustChoBox M.LK and the Well&Truly Crunchies!
