I really love Autumn, I think it’s my favourite time of the year. The cooler weather, autumnal colours and the nights getting dark earlier. You can get comfy with a blanket and a hot drink and binge-watch TV shows, and films or read a book. As we’re fast heading towards Halloween, for me the best thing about Autumn, it’s time to share with you the Degusta Box for September 2022.
So yes, let’s get to the box!
What is Degusta Box All About?
So, if you are new here and have never heard of Degusta Box UK I’ll quickly explain what it is and how it works.
Degusta Box UK is a monthly subscription box that contains between 10-15 items each month, most of which are new to the market. The products are chosen and put together by a team of specialists who look for foods that are versatile, innovative, and delicious. You can read some of my reviews for previous boxes here. It costs £12.99 per month. You can also find a discount at the end of the post. So, that means you’ll pay just £7.99 for your first box!
Degusta Box for September 2022 Theme & Contents
September’s box was themed around Family Sharing and contained 11 products. So, let’s take a look, shall we?
What’s In The Box? Sweet Treats
Ritter Sport Don Chocco (rrp £1.50)
I just adore the cute packaging on these bars of chocolate. This is a silky, creamy delicious chocolate. It has to be one of the nicest chocolates that I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. There were 3 bars of the Don Chocco in the September box.
PITCH Chocolate Filled Brioche (rrp £1.50)
These individually wrapped yummy chocolate & hazelnut flavour-filled brioche buns are great for lunchboxes, or as a snack to take with you, no matter your journey or destination. The new recyclable cardboard packaging can be found in Tesco. Suitable for Vegetarians too.
Rose Marketing UK Robinsons® Jelly Pouches 80g (£2.49 )
Packed full of real fruit juice, with no added sugar, these Jelly Pouches contain all the Robinsons® flavour but are only 5 calories! Great for an on-the-go snack.
McVitie’s Hobnobs Coconut Macaroons (rrp £1.75)
Product of the Month: These McVitie’s Hobnobs Coconut Macaroons were the Product of the Month for the September box. Unfortunately, I don’t like coconut so these were a ‘no’ for me from the off. The rest of my family that tried them said they were okay but they wouldn’t rush to buy them again. I think if you love coconut you would probably really enjoy these.
Kellog Krave Cookies & Cream Flavour (rrp £2.99)
Another product that is definitely not for me; I am a very plain cornflakes girl. My daughter and one of my sons love Krave though and they’ve really been enjoying this new flavour.
What’s In The Box? Savoury
Nissin Cup Noodles Kaisen Seafood (rrp £1.79)
You would have received one of two Nissin Cup Noodle flavours in your Degusta Box for September 2022. I received Kaisen Seafood but you could have also gotten Chicken Teriyaki. Always been a big fan of cup noodles as they make a really quick and tasty snack or meal in a pinch. I must admit however that none of the family rushed to try the Kaisen Seafood. It’s not the sort of flavour we would usually buy.
Very Lazy Chopped Garlic (rrp £1.60)
I’m not gonna lie this jar of Very Lazy Chopped Garlic absolutely stunk the whole box up. I hate garlic and the smell permeated my whole bedroom. Despite that, this gets 5 stars because the rest of my family LOVE garlic and use it a lot. It’s really convenient to have it already chopped and ready in a jar. We buy a few Very Lazy products that we first discovered in a Degusta Box.
What’s in the Box? Sauces
Dr. Will’s Miso Tahini Dressing (£3.50)
We’ve not had reason to use this dressing yet but it sounds like it will be good. A fusion dressing suitable for practically anything.
Knorr Onion Gravy Pot (£1.79)
We always keep these kinds of gravy pots and stock pots in the cupboard. They are just really handy to keep in. Adding lots of rich gravy flavour to any dish. It really saves time to use these instead of making gravy from scratch.
What’s In The Box? Drinks
Weetabix On the Go Family Pack Chocolate (£3.00)
If you need something quick and super easy for breakfast then you will love this Chocolate or Strawberry Weetabix On The Go Family Pack. You would have received this Chocolate flavour or the Strawberry one in your box.
Yogi Tea® Bedtime Organic (£2.59)
In your September box, you would have received one of the following: Classic Organic, Bedtime Organic or Throat Comfort Organic Yogi Tea®. I received the Bedtime Organic tea. These teas are original and ayurvedic and I don’t drink tea very often but I have been enjoying this one.
My Overall Thoughts On The Degusta Box for September 2022
Overall I thought there was a good selection of products in the Degusta Box for September 2022. Thankfully the smell of the Very Lazy Chopped Garlic no longer lingers in my room! The weird thing was when you smelled the actual jar you couldn’t really smell it! Bizarre!
There was no competition in this box as to my favourite product.
Without a doubt, it is the Ritter Sport Don Chocco. It really is such a lovely chocolate bar; the dark milk is so creamy and smooth, it’s a pleasure to eat it. The only trouble is you might finish it quickly as it’s that delicious! I was nice enough to share it and just had the one bar. I really wanted to keep it all to myself though! lol
