I’m a little later this time bringing you the contents of the Degusta Box for August 2022. I’m enjoying the cooler weather we’ve been having and even the 2 thunderstorms we’ve had the last two nights. I actually use a thunderstorm app every night as I find it so relaxing; don’t think I could sleep without it now.
Anyway, let’s get to the box!
What is Degusta Box All About?
So, if you are new here and have never heard of Degusta Box UK I’ll quickly explain what it is and how it works.
Degusta Box UK is a monthly subscription box that contains between 10-15 items each month, most of which are new to the market. Degusta Box For August 2022 Theme & Contents
With the kids all going back to school now, the box for August had an apt Back to School & Relaxing Evenings theme. So, let’s see exactly what’s in the box.
What’s In The Box? Sweet Treats
McVitie’s® Mini BN Strawberry Biscuits (rrp £1.00)
Product of the Month – These cute mini biscuits are really delicious. Nice and crunchy with a lovely strawberry filling that you can really taste. Definitely ideal for lunchboxes too!
McVitie’s® BN Chocolate Biscuits (rrp £1.00)
Product of the Month – Just like the mini versions, these chocolate BN biscuits are lovely and crunchy with a yummy chocolate filling. They’re very moreish.
Urban Fruit Wellness Glow (£3.00 )
Ok, these are just so good; packed full of fruity flavour. These are also 100% natural with no artificial ingredients and are a natural source of Vitamin C too. I loved these types of snacks and I could have easily polished off the whole bag!
What’s In The Box? Savoury
Palmini (rrp £4.49/£4.99)
Palmini makes delicious rice, mash and pasta alternatives that are made out of Hearts of Palm. It’s a much healthier and just as tasty alternative too. You would have received one of five available Palmini Pasta: Linguine / Angel Hair / Lasagna / Rice / Mashed. I received the Angel Hair pasta.
Heinz® Veg Hoops (rrp £1.25)
Yeah, if you love your veg, then you would most likely enjoy these. Personally, I didn’t like them all that much; I’ll just stick with the original spaghetti hoops.
Nissin Cup Noodles (rrp £1.75)
You would have received one of two Nissin Cup Noodle flavours in your Degusta Box for August 2022. Either Katsu Curry or 5 Spices Beef. As you can see I got the Katsu Curry flavour in my box. Everyone loves this brand in our house and so there were arguments as to who was going to have these! Quick, delicious, and full of flavour.
What’s in the Box? Sauces
Dr. Will’s Classic Mayo / Chilli Mayo (£3.00)
These mayonnaise recipes are sugar-free with a whole host of quality ingredients. You would have received one of the flavours in your August box. I got the Chilli Mayo. I don’t like mayo but the rest of my family does and they loved this chilli mayo.
Ocean’s Halo Organic Spicy Korean BBQ Soy-free Sauce (£4.00)
We’ve not tried this sauce yet but I have no doubt my family will enjoy it. It’s an organic kelp-based sauce and gets its spicy Gangnam-Style flavour from red jalapenos and sesame tahini. Plus, it is also soy-free, gluten-free, and vegan!
What’s In The Box? Drinks
SXOLLIE Xider Packham’s Triumph Perry (£2.20)
This is a really lovely drink. It’s medium-dry and has really distinct flavour; honey, caramel and subtle elderflower notes. It is also 100% natural, gluten-free, 100% vegan, with no added sugar, flavourings or concentrate.
Horlicks Vegan Malt Drink (£3.49)
This is a great alternative if you are vegan or can’t eat dairy. Get the same creamy malted drink you love but made with the milk alternative of your choice. You can make it hot or cold too. It’s also enriched with vitamins and minerals.
Nesquick® All Natural Ready to Drink Chocolate or Strawberry (£1.80)
If you love Nesquick®, then you will love the great taste and the convenience of these ready-to-drink cartons. Perfect for putting into lunchboxes too. You would have received one of 2 available flavours in your August box.
Good Earth Pomegranate & Blueberry Kombucha (£1.60)
I loved this kombucha! It was so lovely and refreshing ice cold. It’s one of the nicest kombuchas that I have tasted and I’ve tried quite a few.
My Overall Thoughts On The Degusta Box For August 2022
There was a nice selection of products in the Degusta Box for August 2022. Some great snacks and drinks. Plus some great ideas for lunchboxes as well. It was also a good box for me as there was a lot that I enjoyed in the box given I am such a fussy eater and have food intolerances!
My favourite items in the Degusta Box forAugust 2022 are most definitely the Urban Fruit Wellness Glow, the BN biscuits and the Good Earth Kombucha!
Like I said earlier I would have eaten the whole bag of Urban Fruit – not sure my Diabetes would have thanked me though. So I did limit myself per day, which was hard as they’re just THAT tasty!
