- Have you tried any of these items? What's your favourite Easter treat?
That said, there were actually 14 items in the March 2019 DegustaboxUK. As I’m such a fussy eater there are normally things I don’t like but this box was a pretty good one for me.
Terry’s Chocolate Orange Minis Exploding Candy
I love orange chocolate, especially Terry’s Chocolate Orange, so this bag of mini-segments went down well. The exploding candy was not very strong so your mouth doesn’t get overwhelmed by the popping sensation.
Chum Fruit Bites Apple/Strawberry
I really liked these fruit bites. As you can see they are small triangles of slowly baked fruit. They are full of flavour and also 100% natural. I think these would make a great snack. If you cannot have gluten, they are also gluten-free, as well as Vegan, and Kosher.
Forest Feast Preda Fair Trade Mango/Chocolate Mango & Coconut Fruit Balls
Both of these Forest Feast snacks went down a storm. I think they lasted a few minutes between the family! I don’t like coconut so I never tried the Chocolate Mango & Coconut Fruit Balls but apparently, there were full of flavour and really tasty! The dried Mango was really lovely too!
Willie’s Cacao Single Estate Chocolate
This I think was my favourite item out of the March 2019 DegustaboxUK. I wasn’t sure if I would like chocolate made with passion fruit but it was so good! The flavour of the passion fruit came through quite strongly but I actually liked it. The chocolate was creamy and it was just a delight to eat.
Ballymaloe Original Relish
This is definitely something I would not eat, so as usual the rest of the family tried it. They made some burgers and had the relish with it. All of them liked it and said it was packed full of flavour.
Moose Juice Passion Fruit
As this was zero sugar I tried this Moose Juice – can’t help but smile at the name! The passion fruit flavour was really nice and didn’t taste artificial at all. I’d say this was definitely one of the best energy drinks that I have tasted.
Weetabix On The Go Strawberry
My daughter likes these as we have had them in a previous box. She is terrible for skipping breakfast during the week when she’s at high school, so this is great as she can drink it on the way there. That way she will still start her school day with some energy.
Costa Signature Blend Coffee Ground For Cafetiere & Filter
One thing I am not is a coffee drinker – unless there is alcohol in it! I do like liqueur coffees. Andy’s eye’s lit up when he saw this bag of Costa coffee in the box. Even one of my sons loved it and I didn’t even think he liked any coffee at all. Both of them really enjoyed it and it’s been making use of our cafetiere too.
Red Red Super Stews Black Eyed Beans & Tomato
This was really tasty & quite filling – ideal to have for lunch. It’s made with natural plant-based ingredients and inspired by Africa. There was an alternative flavour to this, Red Beans & Sweet Potato.
KIND Snacks Dark Chocolate Nuts & Sea Salt
I don’t like nuts unless they are pistachios or cashews. Andy ate this and said that it was really nice and that you could taste the honey that bound the nuts together. These are also gluten-free and naturally high in protein.
Jubel Alpine Beer Cut With Peach
Gluten-Free and Vegan, this beer is really nice. The peach adds something extra to it and makes it a really enjoyable drink, especially when it’s been chilled.
Green & Black’s Praline & Truffle Bars
Both of these were just sooooo good! As I’ve gotten older I’ve come to really appreciate and enjoy dark chocolate. I wouldn’t eat it at all when I was younger. Out of the two bars I actually preferred the Truffle one the most. They are also made with ethically sourced chocolate. No artificial colours, flavours or preservatives either.
My Overall Thoughts on the March 2019 DegustaboxUK
Considering this was the Spring & Easter box I expected some actual Easter treats. I mean there were snacks and chocolates but nothing actually Easter themed. Having said that, this is my favourite box so far this year. There was also a good selection of different types of items too, – drinks, snacks, chocolate.
