I hope everyone has had a decent start to the New Year, despite being stuck in lockdown…again. Anyway, I’m here to share the contents of the Degusta Box, January 2021 with you. January’s box was themed around ‘Breakfast & On The Go’.
Now, if you are new here and have never heard of Degusta Box UK I’ll quickly explain what it is.
Degusta Box UK is a monthly subscription box that contains between 10-15 items each month, most of which are new to the market. You can read some of my reviews for previous boxes here. It costs £12.99 per month. You can also find a discount at the end of the post. So, that means you’ll pay just £9.99 for your first box!
Degusta Box January 2021 Theme & Contents
As I said previously, the box for January is all about breakfast and things you can eat on the go. So let’s crack on and see what products were in the Degusta Box, January 2021.
What’s In The Box?: Drinks
I don’t drink tea or coffee but if you do and you are looking to cut down your caffeine intake, then this Barleycup (rrp £2.50)may be just the ticket. It’s made from cereal grains and chicory roots. It’s caffeine-free and suitable for vegans too, and it does have a very rich, coffee-like flavour.
What’s In The Box?: Sweet Treats
This TREK POWER Millionaire Shortbread (rrp £1.75) is a really tasty plant-based protein snack. It’s naturally vegan and also gluten-free. I wasn’t expecting it to taste as good as it did.
I really like these Whitworths Shots Fruity Biscuit (rrp£1.60) The combination of the dried fruit, the white chocolate coated shortcake is just so yummy. Such a quick and easy tasty snack.
We’ve had these Gregory’s Tree Organic Strawberry Fruit Twists (rrp £0.89)in a previous box and I loved them then. I still love them now too. You would have received 2 of these in your Degusta Box, January 2021. Made from organic juicy fruit; they are also vegan-friendly and gluten-free.
You just can’t go wrong with a bag of Rowntree’s Fruit Pastilles (rrp £1.29). They are now vegan friendly too which is great news.
I am sure that kids will love these NAT Bears (rrp £2.90). It’s a fun way to get kids to eat cereal. You would have received either chocolate or honey flavour in your box. You just pop a bear into a bowl and add milk. No artificial colours or flavours.
There would have been both of these St. Pierre Millionaires Waffle and Brioche Waffle (rrp £1.00) in the January box. A definite treat to have with your coffee break for an added bit of indulgence.
A delicious vegan Mallow Puffs Salted Caramel Mallow Bar (rrp £1.59), dipped and coated in dark Belgian chocolate. What’s not to love?
What’s In The Box?: Savoury
I’m not a fan of peanut butter but my family love Sunpat Peanut Butter (rrp £1.50). You would have received a jar of either smooth or crunchy peanut butter in your box. It’s a great source of protein and contains 96% peanuts.
Grey Poupon Dijon Mustard May (rrp £2.50) is a new range of mustard flavour vegan mayos and are made with the finest French mustards. Not one for me as I don’t like mustard or mayo.
Mister Free’d Avocado Tortilla Chips (rrp £1.59) are great if you love guacamole as it’s all rolled into one crispy bite in these avocado tortilla chips.
In the Degusta Box January 2021, you would have received both of these Lizi’s Focus and Boost Super Mueslis (rrp £0.75 for 50g/ £3.50 for 400g pack). These were both really nice, full of flavour, fruit, oats and nuts.
Have the best of both worlds with this Rye & Wheat Bread from Baker Street (rrp £1.69). Delicious toasted and used for open sandwiches this bread is packed full of flavour. Really enjoyed this!
My Overall Thoughts on Degusta Box, January 2021
I thought this was a really good box with a lot of decent snacks and breakfast ideas. For those of us stuck at home during the lockdown, just coming up with breakfast and snacks each day can be a headache in itself. I really enjoyed quite a few of these.
Stand out products for me personally were the Whitworths Shots, Gregory’s Tree Fruit Twists, NAT Bears and Rowntree’s Fruit Pastilles.
