After testing and reviewing Eden’s Semilla Jojoba oil recently, I was also invited to try out and review their new collection of Essential Oils.
These are really high-quality Therapeutic Grade essential oils and you can purchase them in sets of 4 or if you prefer, you can purchase them individually.

Eden’s Semilla Essential Oils Set 1
I had Set 1 which consisted of the following oils:
- Tea Tree
- Lemon Grass
- Rosemary
- Frankincense

Eden’s Semilla Essential Oils Set 2
Set 2 consisted of the following oils:
- Pine Tree
- Lavender
- Bergamot
- Cinnamon

Eden’s Semilla Individual Essential Oils
I also received the following 4 individual oils:-
- Peppermint
- Eucalyptus
- Sandalwood
- Sweet Orange

The sets come packaged in a very sleek matte black box with an outer sleeve listing the essential oils enclosed in the set. It’s very elegant packaging.
The oils themselves are very high quality, as you would expect from Therapeutic Grade essential oils. They are definitely not thin watery oils and you can tell from the viscosity that these are premium oils. The scent of these oils is very strong but very natural smelling; they don’t smell artificial at all but then these are 100% natural oils.
Oil that is sourced from A Grade plants and extracted using the most up to date manufacturing processes of steam distillation or suppression; no additives or solvents just 100% pure goodness
Essential oils can be used in many different ways and have many different health benefits too. I’ve been using them for over 15 years or so and have always found them to be very beneficial.

Recipes for Homemade Products Using Essential Oils
I used some of the Lavender and Rosemary to make some hand salve.

It’s a very easy and simple recipe to follow and you can use any essential oil of your preference in place of the lavender and rosemary.
Hand Salve Recipe
1/4 cup Olive Oil
1/4 Almond Oil
(if you don’t have both oils, then use 1/2 cup of either one)
1/2 cup coconut oil
1-3 tbsp Beeswax
(depending on how firm you want your salve)
Optional
12 drops of Lavender essential oil
9 drops of Rosemary essential oil
Place a glass bowl or jar in a pan of boiling water. Now add the oils and beeswax into the bowl and heat over low heat until blended.
Now add the essential oils as required.
Once cooled, pour the mixture into your containers and allow it to set.
I also used the Lavender to make some simple soap. Again, this is a very easy recipe to make and you can use any essential oil instead of Lavender.

Handmade Soap Recipe
500g aloe vera base
60g beeswax pellets
50 drops of essential oil
10-50 drops of colouring
3-4 tsp of honey
flowers – as required – (I used some lavender that I had from the garden)
Place a glass bowl in a pan of boiling water. Place the beeswax pellets in the bowl and heat over low heat until melted. Remove from heat and add the soap base, continue to heat over low heat until completely melted to a liquid consistency.
Once melted allow to cool slightly and add essential oils. If adding colouring then add that at this point too.
Add 3-4 tsp of honey and flowers etc as required.
Pour mixture into your mould and leave for up to 24hrs to set, then wrap. If you want a clear soap then don’t add the wax or honey.
You could also use the essential oils to make yourself a very simple but effective homemade sugar scrub.

Sugar Scrub Recipe
14oz granulated sugar
2oz coconut oil
10-50 drops of essential oil.
Measure coconut oil into a jug and melt in the microwave for 30 sec at a time. Place sugar into a glass bowl and pour over the melted coconut oil and mix well.
Add in the essential oils.
You can also add flowers that are beneficial to the skin.
If the mixture is too wet, gradually add more sugar until you have the desired texture.
Once made, place into airtight containers.

The Eden’s Semilla Peppermint essential oil also made a really lovely lip balm and was also fantastic used in a hand salve too. It has probably the most natural and nicest scent of Peppermint I have ever come across in essential oil. The lip balm is another very easy recipe and just like the other recipes above, you can replace the Peppermint essential oil with an alternative oil of your choice.
Beeswax Lip Balm Recipe
1oz beeswax pellets
4 fl oz olive oil
essential oil of your choice (just a few drops, you don’t need loads)
Place a glass bowl in a pan of boiling water. place the beeswax in the bowl and heat over low heat until melted.
Add essential oil and stir well.
Pour mixture into a glass jug and allow to cool slightly. Now pour into your containers and allow to set.
My Overall Thoughts on Eden’s Semilla
There really are so many things you can do with essential oils. Pinterest has a lot of easy to follow recipes using essential oils. You can simply use the oils by placing a few drops in the bath too, to provide a lovely aroma and soothing environment.
I have also used several of these oils in my Aromatherapy Mist Diffuser. Just a few drops to the water container, either individually or 2 or 3 blended together and your room will smell amazing. The Eucalyptus and Peppermint I find exceptionally good for stuffy noses and for making breathing easier during the night. Add a few drops of the Sweet Orange to a spray bottle of water and you have an instant room fragrance.
Honestly, these Eden’s Semilla Essential Oils are exceptional and since I have used a fair few brands of essential oils over the years, I was seriously impressed by the quality of these and how fantastic they have been in all the ways I have used them.
They are also extremely good value for money and very affordable whether you purchase a set of 4 or you buy them individually, they are still such a great price.
