So, here I am sharing with you the January 2020 Degusta Box. This box was all about breakfast and being on the go. I’m sure we can all relate to being too busy to always sit down and have a decent breakfast. Instead, turning to snacks when we are busy and generally rushing around. If you have young children, even more so. I was terrible for skipping breakfast to get everyone else sorted.
If you’re a regular reader then you probably know by now just what Degusta Box UK is. For those that aren’t familiar with it, I’ll quickly explain.
Degusta Box UK is a monthly subscription box that contains between 10-15 items each month, most of which are new to the market. You can read some of my reviews for previous boxes here. It costs £12.99 per month but you can find a discount at the end of the post which means you’ll pay just £7.99 for your first box!

What’s In The Box?
So now for the good part – taking a look at exactly what was in the January 2020 Degusta Box.
Chescots Supergut Porridge Oats
You would have received 1 of these 2 Chescots Supergut Porridge Oats (£1.99 rrp) in your January box. These pots contain half your daily fibre and prebiotic fibres to support your gut. Over 3x the average fibre content of other porridge pots. They are also Vegan, Gluten and Dairy Free. I love porridge oats and these were really tasty. The one I tried was the Raspberry one, as I don’t like coconut but one of my kids tried the other one and they loved it!
Eat Natural Simply Vegan peanuts, coconut and chocolate bar
One of my kids had this Eat Natural Simply Vegan peanuts, coconut and chocolate bar (£1.00 rrp). It’s gluten-free and a good source of protein so makes a great snack when you’re in a rush.
Wholesums Fresh Veg Popped Chips
You would have received one of four flavours of these Wholesums Fresh Veg Popped Chips (£1.75 rrp) in your January 2020 Degusta Box. These are vegan and gluten-free and only 86 calories too. I received the ‘softly sweet chilli’ flavour. My family were pleasantly surprised by these. Full of flavour, not too hot and really crunchy.
Whitworths Shots Berry & White Chocolate
These Whitworths Shots Berry & White Chocolate (£1.60 4 pack rrp) were actually my favourite out of the January box. it’s the perfect amount in each packet & they are incredibly tasty. I love dried fruit anyway but yeah, really enjoyed these immensely.
Kallo Organic Honey Rice and Corn Cakes
I wasn’t sure I would like these Kallo Organic Honey Rice and Corn Cakes (£1.69 rrp) as I don’t really like the taste of honey. However, they were really nice. I tried them with some fruit and yoghurt as suggested and it made a really quick and easy breakfast or snack.
NESCAFÉ GOLD Almond Lattes
There were actually arguments over who was going to have these NESCAFÉ GOLD Almond Lattes (£2.98 rrp)! These are a delicious dairy alternative and make a really lovely, creamy latte.
Crafted Blueberry & Blackberry fruit juice drink
Can’t really go wrong with this Crafted Blueberry & Blackberry fruit juice drink (£1.50 rrp). Packed full of flavour, I had this over ice and it was really refreshing! It’s all-natural, with no added sugar, sweeteners or preservatives. Also certified by The Vegan Society and counts as 1 of your 5 a day too!
Bounce Protein Energy Peanut Ball
One of my sons had this Bounce Protein Energy Peanut Ball (£1.79 rrp) – he’s at the gym every day! This energy ball has an impressive 13g of high-quality protein. Along with heart-healthy fats and antioxidants too.
Prep.Co snack pots
These Prep.Co snack pots (£2.00 rrp) are just ideal for a quick tasty snack. You would have received one of 4 flavours in your box. As you can see, I got the Thai Green Curry and Mediterranean Couscous. They are made with natural ingredients and actually have enough veg in them, that they count as one of your 5 a day!
Yorkie More & Kit Kat Chunky More
When the kids saw these Yorkie More & Kit Kat Chunky More (£1.29 rrp), of course, they started to argue over who was going to try them. I didn’t get a look in on either of them! They just told me that they were both very yummy and could we get some more. I guess that says a lot! Anyway, both of these bars have 30% less sugar than similar chocolate products. They contain real fruit, both are a source of protein too, with the Yorkie also being a source of fibre as well.
Sun-Pat Peanut Butter
Gosh, I haven’t seen Sun-Pat Peanut Butter in forever! I hasten to add, I don’t like Peanut Butter though. In the January 2020 Degusta Box, you would have received one of these; either the smooth or crunchy. The rest of the family love peanut butter, so these went down a storm. A great source of protein, my son that is always at the gym tried to claim these for himself!
Zest Vegan Basil & Tomato Pesto
I was a little puzzled as to why this Zest Vegan Basil & Tomato Pesto (£2.20 rrp) was in a Degusta Box for Breakfasts and being on the go. I’m still not really sure lol It’s not something we really use in our house being honest. Anyway, I digress, this pesto has no animal products and is free from anything artificial. Needless to say, it is suitable for Vegans and Vegetarians.
My Overall Thoughts On The January 2020 Degusta Box
There were some really good items in the January 2020 Degusta Box. As I said earlier the Whitworths Shots were my favourite item out of this box. Pretty much everything else went down well though, if not with me, then with other members of my family. That’s always a good sign of a great selection of products!
