I’ve had a pretty horrible time health-wise, both physical and mental so far this year. The last couple of months have been the worst so far and I just haven’t masked as much as I usually would. When I was having a better day though, I did summon up the energy to try out a Korebeauty Anti-Ageing Hydrogel Facial Mask, that they very kindly sent me to review.
Welcome to a new standard in anti-ageing skin treatment.
An innovative, next generation hydrogel sheet mask, enriched with a powerful anti-ageing formulation containing Vitamin E, Adenosine, Hyaluronic Acid and Retinol.

INGREDIENTS
Aqua, Dipropylene glycol, Glycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Tocopherol acetate, Adenosine, Hydrolyzed extensin, Sodium hyaluronate, Retinol, Ceratonia siliqua gum, Chondrus crispus powder, Cellulose gum, Sodium polyacrylate, Phenoxyethanol, Disodium EDTA, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Polysorbate 20, Mica, Titanium dioxide, Trideceth-6, CI 77491, Olea europaea fruit oil, Lavandula angustifolia oil, Cananga odorata flower oil, Pinus sylvestris leaf oil, Pelargonium graveolens flower oil, Rosmarinus oficinalis leaf oil, Melaleuca alternifolia leaf oil
With a list of beneficial ingredients such as Vitamin E, Retinol, Adenosine and Hyaluronic Acid, this hydrogel mask claims to be ideal for skin that has started the ageing process. I’m pretty sure my skin falls into that category!
It is also supposed to do the following:
- help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- improve skin elasticity and moisture balance
- stimulate cellular repair
- boost collagen and elastin
- improve skin tone, for a more supple, youthful-looking skin.
To use: Apply once a week, leave on for 25 minutes, remove sheets and massage remaining essence into skin.
Application & Fit
The Korebeauty Anti-Ageing Hydrogel Facial Mask comes in two halves. Like most hydrogel masks that I have tried, it comes protected between a plastic backing and then a thinner outer layer.
I always find removing the protective packaging a fiddly process.
Once removed from the packaging though and applied to my face it had a pretty decent fit. Adhering well to the skin, with no slippage at all. It overhung a little on the nose flap but I find that happens with a lot of masks.
On application, it felt very cooling and soothing. I did have a pretty nasty headache when I used this and it really helped with that too, which was an added bonus.
I left the mask on for the full 25 minutes as per the instructions.
The Results
In the two photos above, the before pictures are on the left and the after pics are on the right.
You can clearly see that on the after pics, on the right, my skin is more hydrated, plumper, firmer and even more radiant. My pores are also less visible too.
My skin was left feeling soft, smooth and very nourished. The effects were still visible the next morning too.
My sensitive skin had no reaction or irritation from the mask at all.
I’m sure I don’t need to tell you but I will mention that as this mask contains Retinol it is best used at night. Why? If you apply retinol in the morning sunlight deactivates it. Using it in the morning does not mean you must stay out of the sun; just be sensible and wear a good SPF.
Though, honestly, I’d advise using this mask during your night-time skincare routine for best results.
Overall Thoughts About the Korebeauty Anti-Ageing Hydrogel Facial Mask
I really enjoyed using this mask and I believe that it delivered on the claims it made. It has good, beneficial ingredients, a nice fit and it definitely gives great results.
There are also two other varieties of this mask available; Radiance and Vitality.
