If you love trying sweets/candy from outside the UK then I might have just the thing for you. It’s called Taffymail and it is an American candy & goodies monthly subscription box based in the UK! Now I love trying new candy – although with having Diabetes I have to be strict lol – and to be able to have a monthly box of American treats is just FANTASTIC. Especially from a company that is situated in the UK. This means no surprise customs fees or waiting weeks to receive your box.

What’s in the Box?
So, what yummy American candy and other goodies were in the box I received? Let me show you!
I haven’t yet tried this but I can’t wait to! The idea of making my own popcorn for a movie night just really appeals to me. Though my teenage daughter might beat me to it!
This was a really nice soda. It reminded me very much of Vimto. So very much a mixed berry flavour.
I’ve always been curious about Hostess Cup Cakes. These were a natural orange flavour. The cake itself was very moist (yes, I’m cringing at using that word!). The orange flavour was about right in intensity. Overall these weren’t bad cupcakes but they were VERY sweet. I can see why they are popular though.
Squeeze Cheeze tastes very much like processed cheese slices. However, if you like cheese slices, then I am pretty sure you would like this too.
Swedish Fish taste extremely like jelly babies to me and I love jelly babies. These were tropical flavoured and really tasty! In addition, I love that there is none of that powdered sugar over them.
Chips Ahoy! cookies or I should say Mini Chips Ahoy! cookies actually really surprised me. I really wasn’t expecting them to taste as nice as they did. Really, crumbly, delicious cookies. It makes me want to try their regular-sized cookies.
Sour candy is such a favourite of mine and I was really looking forward to trying these Dinorex Xtra Sour gummies. They are lovely, tasty little gummies. But for me personally, they are not even remotely sour.
Now, these Kelloggs® Rice Krispies Treats are easily available in the UK. I find these marshmallows Krispy treats just a little too sweet for me. However, my kids love them, including mine!
And there’s more!
These are tart apple flavoured candies. They taste really good, have a very definite apple flavour. What I really loved was the tart, almost sour taste they had to them too.
As much as I love a sweet treat, I also love savoury ones too. So these Andy Capp’s Cheddar Fries were right up my street. I love the flavour of them, which was nice and cheesy but didn’t taste as most artificial cheese flavoured crisps do.
Have to admit I am not a fan of Reese’s at all or anything peanut flavoured. My one son absolutely loves everything by them though. Of course, he was going to give this Fast Break a big thumbs up.
This poor Sea Salt Rocky Road bar really suffered in the heat as I received the box over the hottest days that we have had so far this year and it was 34°C in my room! In other words, it had completely melted during its travels. After being in the fridge to firm up though, it was fine and tasted good too according to my son who tried it.
And there’s still more!
Nutter Butter peanut butter sandwich cookies were bigger than I thought. I left the tasting to my son, as he loves peanut butter. They were a big hit with him needless to say!
This reminds me of Diam, like practically identical to it. I really like Diam so I enjoyed trying Skor. Yummy milk chocolate coating really buttery tasting crisp toffee.
This is a little similar in texture to Bounty in my opinion, except its almond and coconut. Almond Joy is manufactured by Hershey’s. Not one for me because I do not like the taste of coconut. It was thoroughly enjoyed by my family though.
As I mentioned earlier I really love sour candy and once again I was disappointed by how sour these actually were. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the fruity gummies as they were really tasty. As for the ‘mouth-puckering candy™‘ yeah, for me, not so much. I didn’t think there were even a tiny bit sour.
The smallest two items in the Taffymail American candy subscription box were the Now and Later Extreme Sour Apple soft chews and Vidal Basket Balls Bubble gum. I’m beginning to think I’ve built up a tolerance to sour candy because again, these apple chews were just not sour to me. They were nice, soft and had a pleasant apple flavour, not as strong as I expected but still tasty. My son tried the bubble gum and said it had a fruity flavour and was really nice.
My Overall Thoughts on Taffymail American Candy & goodies Subscription box
As far as candy/treat subscription boxes go, I thought Taffymail was really great. There was a decent variety of chocolate, gummies and other candy plus a couple of savoury items and even a can of soda. That was something I really enjoyed, getting.
There were only 2 items that I have previously tried and that was the Rice Krispies Treats® and the Squeeze Cheese. Everything else was new to me. Getting a box like this every month is pretty fun. Ok, it’s not exactly healthy but everything in moderation, eh! Something like this could easily be used as treats for the whole family for a while and for one person or a couple, I’m sure it would last a month, maybe longer.
Also, as I mentioned earlier you have three sizes of boxes that you can choose from, which is another good thing about this subscription. There’s a price to suit most pockets.

My eldest son was just as impressed as I was and is actually considering subscribing to the ‘Extra’ subscription of Taffymail. I would certainly recommend trying this subscription box if you love trying different sweet & savoury treats from the US.
