It’s crazy to think that Spring officially starts a week today on Sunday 20th March. Not only that but the clocks go forward the Sunday after that, so we’ll start seeing much lighter nights. Just like that, we’ll be a quarter of the way through the year. I have to admit that although I am not a fan of Summer or the heat, I do like the sunshine as I find it makes a HUGE difference to my mood. Therefore, I will be very grateful to see more blue skies and sunshine during Spring. Anyway, it’s time to share the Degusta Box for February 2022 with you, so let’s do just that!
What is Degusta Box All About?
If you are new here and have never heard of Degusta Box UK I’ll quickly explain what it is and how it works.
Degusta Box UK is a monthly subscription box that contains between 10-15 items each month, most of which are new to the market. The products are chosen and put together by a team of specialists who look for foods that are versatile, innovative, and delicious. You can read some of my reviews for previous boxes here. It costs £12.99 per month. You can also find a discount at the end of the post. So, that means you’ll pay just £7.99 for your first box!
Degusta Box For February 2022 Theme & Contents
So, the Degusta Box for February 2022 is all about Home Comforts, and I am definitely here for it! I do love some comfort food.
What’s In The Box?: Sweet Treats
Bounce Chocolate Brownie (rrp £1.99) – We have had Bounce a few times now in the Degusta Boxes and as always they are pretty tasty. This one is a plant packed Chocolate Brownie one and has a rather soft, squishy centre of nut butter. Lots of protein, high in fibre and lots of yummy flavour.
Belvita Soft Bakes Choc Chips (rrp £2.79) – I’ve actually purchased these myself in the past as I thought I might like them. Originally I thought they’d be decent for me to eat at breakfast as I’m just not really a breakfast person. However, I really didn’t like them. I found them to ‘bitty’ for want of a better word. They are soft, quite moist and the flavour is really nice but I just could not get past the texture in my mouth once I started chewing. Andy really enjoys them though, so it really is down to personal taste. He scored them a 4.5 and I scored them a 3.5, so I’ll give them a 4/5.
Product of the Month
Product of the Month McVitie’s Blissfuls (£2.59 ) – You would have received one of two items in your box, the Belgian Chocolate Cream with Hazelnut or Caramel. I got the hazelnut ones. Now, I don’t like hazelnuts, at all, but I still tried one of these and I LOVED them. They taste so good; the hazelnut flavour is very light. The biscuit itself was lovely and crisp and went really well with the filling. We will definitely be buying these in the future and cant wait to try the caramel ones! Massive thumbs up for these Blissfuls!
Mikado Milk Chocolate 75g (rrp £1.50) These have been around for quite some time now and as a family, we all love them. You actually get quite a lot of these yummy chocolate-coated biscuit sticks in each box. However, because they are so moreish and light, you can get through them very quickly! Just 11 calories per stick, in case you were wondering.
Urban Fruit Wellness Strength (£2.85) – I am a sucker for dried fruit snacks, so was really looking forward to trying these. I was not disappointed. These bite-sized little cubes are jam-packed with fruity flavour and are absolutely delicious. They come in three flavours, Strength, Immune and Glow. HUGE thumbs up for these!
KITKAT 2 Finger White Chocolate Biscuit Bar (rrp £1.99) – We buy KIKATs all the time but I don’t think we’ve ever bought the white chocolate ones before. At 106 calories each, they make for a delicious snack if you are craving chocolate and don’t want a chocolate bar with loads of calories.
What’s In The Box?: Savoury
Tilda Limited Edition Katsu Curry Rice (rrp £1.59) – This limited edition Tilda rice makes a really quick, and enjoyable meal as it’s ready in two minutes. With mild curry spices, carrot, onion and coconut cream it should help if you are craving Katsu Curry. Lovely and flavourful!
Pizza Express House Light Sachet (rrp £0.50 sachets/ £2.00 bottle full size) – You would have received 2 sachets of this in the Degusta Box for February 2022. This has 30% less fat compared to their standard House Dressing.
Knorr Vegetable Stock Cubes (rrp £1.45) – I think vegetable stock cubes are a staple in our pantry and probably a lot of people. These are great to use for so so many dishes. These will always be 5/5 and a BIG thumbs up.
What’s In The Box?: Drinks
Tea India UK Masala Chai (£1.50) – I don’t drink tea or coffee, well, I do drink fruit teas but that is all. I left this to Andy to taste. He likes a Chai Latte and you can simmer this in hot milk to make a lovely, creamy Chai Latte. He really enjoyed it.
MIGHTY Chocolate Shake (£1.60) – If you’re looking for a delicious plant-based, dairy-free chocolate shake, then look no further. This is a yummy, creamy chocolate shake and also is sweetened by agave syrup, so there are no artificial sweeteners or sugar. It also means it has 40% less sugar than other flavoured milk.
My Overall Thoughts On The Degusta Box For February 2022
I really enjoyed the Degusta Box for February 2022, for me personally there was a lot more that I really liked and enjoyed. Especially compared to last month. I think the items in this box really fit the theme of ‘Home Comforts’ too.
My favourite items from the February Degusta Box are the McVitie’s Blissfuls and also the Urban Fruit Wellness Strength. I just loved how tasty both of these were. I would be very hard pushed to choose just one of these if I had to. Neither of these lasted very long once opened, that much I do know.
