This year is flying by and we actually have had blue skies and sunshine this weekend. Definitely helps boost my mood when it’s sunny out. Anyway, today I have all the details of the Degusta Box March 2023 to share with you!
What is Degusta Box All About?
So, if you are new here and have never heard of Degusta Box UK I’ll quickly explain what it is and how it works.
Degusta Box UK is a monthly subscription box that contains between 10-15 items each month, most of which are new to the market. The products are chosen and put together by a team of specialists who look for foods that are versatile, innovative, and delicious. You can read some of my reviews for previous boxes here. It costs £12.99 per month. You can also find a discount at the end of the post. So, that means you’ll pay just £7.99 for your first box!
Degusta Box March 2023 Theme & Contents
This box has a theme of Hello Spring so let’s take a look at the 10 items that were included in the March box.
What’s In The Box? Sweet Treats
Fruitella® Strawberry Multipack (rrp £1.50)
All of our family love Fruitella and it’s something I buy fairly often. The fruity strawberry flavour is lovely and I do like that they tend to be fairly soft to chew. I also love that it is made with real fruit juice and only natural flavours and colourings.
Available in major supermarket chains
Bounce Maple Pecan Cashew Protein Ball (rrp £1.70)
Over time we’ve had a few Bounce protein balls in our Degusta Boxes and they also go down really well. Especially as 3 out of my 4 sons regularly work out, they’re all about protein snacks. It’s basically whoever calls dibs first that gets to try it. They’ve always thoroughly enjoyed them.
Available at Holland & Barrett, Ocado and uk.bouncefoods.com
Product of the Month
Mutti Rossoro Tomato Pasta Sauce with Parmigiano Reggiano (£3.10)
We eat a lot of pasta and I love nothing better than a simple bowl of spaghetti in sauce. This sauce was perfect. Lots of tomato flavours are paired so brilliantly with the sharp cheese flavours of the Parmigiano Reggiano. Usually, I use just plain passata so this made such a difference to the dish!
Available from Tesco, Sainsbury's, Ocado and Booths
What’s in the Box? Sauces
Knorr® Beef Stock Pot (£1.65)
I think I have mentioned in previous reviews that we love the Knorr® stock pots and we always keep our pantry stocked up with them. They always add so much more flavour when cooking, so a big thumbs up for this!
Available in major supermarket chains
Maille Dijon Mustard 215g (£2.75)
Although we don’t use Mustard that often we do make sure that we always have some in case a recipe calls for it. I’m not a big fan of mustard myself, especially our English mustard which I find incredibly strong. Dijon has always tasted so much better to me and this mustard was no exception; I want to say it’s a lot more sophisticated than our mustard! lol
A useless bit of info is that mustard does have a very strong smell association for me. My Dad ALWAYS had mustard with just about everything, and when I smell mustard it immediately reminds me of my Dad, in fact, even just the mention of mustard brings him to mind. He’s been gone 20 years this November.
Available from Tesco, Waitrose, Sainsbury's and Morrisons
What’s In The Box? Cereals
Kellogg’s Crunchy Nut Salted Caramel Flavour Twist (£2.99)
I think I am the only one in our family that doesn’t eat Crunchy Nut – I’m boring and like plain cornflakes or rice krispies but I’m actually more of a porridge oats person. My family really enjoyed this new salted caramel flavour which didn’t come as a surprise to me as they love the crunchy nut cereal a lot.
Available at ASDA, Iceland & to be rolled out to other retailers in the first half of 2023
What’s In The Box? Drinks
Good Earth Passionfruit & Orange (£2.99)
Andy really enjoyed this tea, as did I. Lots of wonderful flavours and a real pleasure to drink. I’m sure it would make a great iced tea also. I don’t drink tea unless it’s a fruit flavour, so it was lovely to discover this flavour of their teas. Their teabags are biodegradable too, which is fantastic! On a side note, I also love their Good Earth Good Energy Drinks too. The Raspberry and Blueberry flavour is my favourite!
Available on GoodEarth.co.uk, Amazon and Ocado
Nescafé Gold Blend Refill 75g(£5.50)
When we buy coffee we do actually buy Nescafé Gold Blend, so this refill pack was brilliant. It’s such a great idea and saves so much on the packaging too. Being resealable means the coffee stays fresh and the flavours are preserved.
Available in major supermarket chains
SXOLLIE Golden Delicious Apple xider 330ml 4.5% ABV (£2.99)
Golden Delicious are my favourite apples and you can really taste all of their lovely flavours in this SXOLLIE xider. The brand is B Corp certified which means they prioritise the planet & people over profits and that gets two big thumbs up from me. There’s also no added sugar, flavourings or any other nasties in this delicious xider!
Available at WHSmith Travel & on Amazon Prime
Get More Vits Apple & Raspberry B Vits Drink / Mango & Passionfruit Vitamin D Drink (£1.30)
We’ve had some Get More Vits products in a previous Degusta Box and we really enjoyed those. These two flavours were really nice. I preferred the Apple & Raspberry over the Mango & Passionfruit. Both were full of flavour though; so refreshing to drink after being chilled. It’s great to be able to drink these and know that your body is benefiting from them.
Available in Sainsbury's, Waitrose, Ocado, and on Amazon or getmorevits.com
My Overall Thoughts On The Degusta Box March 2023
I actually really liked the Degusta Box March 2023. There was a nice variety of quality products. I’m not sure if any items screamed Hello Spring at me lol Nevertheless, 10 really solid brands and products.
I had three favourites from the March box and they were the Mutti Rossoro Tomato Pasta Sauce, Good Earth tea and the Fruitella.
The pasta sauce was a lovely discovery and I will definitely be purchasing that again and looking at their other products.
The Good Earth tea is so lovely that I just have to try some more teas from their range. It really is so great that their teabags are biodegradable and I can’t wait to try some of their other flavours of tea.
What can I say about Fruitella? They are fruity, flavourful, and juicy and they just remind me of when I was young. I much preferred them over similar chewy sweets as my jaw didn’t ache whilst chewing them lol
