What’s in the Degustabox for November 2016?
It’s packed to the brim with lots of goodies to try and you also get a handy information sheet with all the items on for this month’s Degustabox too plus their relevant RRP as well.
Ryvita Thins rrp £1.89
First up are these Ryvita Thins in Caramelised Onion. The other flavour you may have received is Sweet Chilli. These are tasty little flatbreads and are perfect for snacking and dipping, and you needn’t feel too guilty as they are also a great source of fibre. You can serve them with your favourite dips, or just eat them on their own. Great to put out at a party for people to share.
Appy Kids Co Gruffalo Golden Apple Juice rrp £1.49
This 3 pack of Appy Kids Co Gruffalo Golden Apple Juice will make a great drink for your kids. They are 100% natural and have no added sugar. A really great healthier option than your typical soft drink, for your kids, to have and sure to keep them happy at Christmas parties too!
Butterkist popcorn Sweet Cinema Style Popcorn (rrp £0.28) | Choc Mallow Popcorn (rrp £1.49)
Butterkist popcorn is perfect for snacking on whilst cuddling up on the sofa watching Christmas movies. With a choice of their Sweet Cinema Style Popcorn or their new Choc Mallow Popcorn, in the Degustabox for November 2016, you really can’t go wrong. They are both very tasty, whether you prefer something a little plainer and more traditional like Sweet Cinema Style Popcorn or you prefer something sweeter like their new Choc Mallow Popcorn.
Hartley’s Glitter Jelly rrp £0.75 each
Want to give your Christmas party some sparkle? This Hartley’s Glitter Jelly could be just what you need then. A colourful jelly with edible glitter will brighten up any party table. It’s your normal fruity, tasty jelly, but it’s got dressed up for the party season! I am sure kids and adults will love the novelty of this glittery jelly.
The Good Cider Wild Berry and Strawberry-Lime rrp £1.50 each
Ah, some festive cheer in the shape of these bottles of cider from The Good Cider. You get two lovely fruity flavours, Wild Berry with blackcurrant and cranberries, and Strawberry-Lime, which is fruity and tangy. I can’t drink myself, due to medication but I was told these were really lovely and best serve chilled. Full of fruity, flavour and a delicious cider.
J2O Glitterberry rrp £2.49 (£4.00 multipack of 4)
A drink I can try is J2O Glitterberry. I’m not sure you can see but there is an abundance of edible gold glitter in this drink. This fruity Grape and Cherry spiced drink definitely sparkles and makes a really great alcohol free alternative drink over the festive season.
Ahmad Tea Ltd Pear, Cinnamon Strudel Tea rrp £4.00
A very festive flavoured tea, this Ahmad Tea Ltd Pear, Cinnamon Strudel Tea is perfect for winter. You get one of 6 flavours from this range in Degustabox for November 2016. They are dessert-inspired recipes, infused in black and green teas, and no need to feel guilty because they are sugar-free too. A really nice change from regular tea and great for me because I only drink fruit teas.
Michel et Augustin 4 Cookie Squares rrp £0.89
Next is a sweet little treat. Michel et Augustin 4 Cookie Squares. I wasn’t so keen on these. I didn’t really like the chocolate part and I just wasn’t overly impressed by them. Others in the house really liked them though, so it’s all down to individual taste. They are just cookies crisp little golden cookie squares with a centre filling of dark chocolate, and a sprinkle of sea salt.
Pipers Crisp Co Wild Thyme & Rosemary Crisps rrp £2.00
Now, I do usually enjoy crisps but I didn’t like these Pipers Crisp Co Wild Thyme & Rosemary crisps. I have nothing against the crisps themselves, they were lovely and crunchy, as a crisp should be. I just didn’t like the flavour because I don’t like Thyme or Rosemary. Definitely not to my liking, at all. I am sure people who enjoy herby tastes would love these though.
Jules Destrooper Butter Crisps rrp £1.19
These Jules Destrooper Butter Crisps are buttery and crispy and remind me very much of stroopwafels. They taste extremely similar to me. These would be perfect with tea or coffee but personally, I’d use them with ice cream instead of a wafer.
Ryvita Cracked Black Pepper Crackers rrp £1.29
Sadly, I can’t eat black pepper due to a food intolerance because I usually love crackers. You receive one of two flavours of these this month. Low in fat, low in sugar and high in protein and fibre, these Ryvita Cracked Black Pepper Crackers are a healthier choice than regular crackers. They’d go great with your favourite cheeses over Christmas.
Christian Potier Sauce rrp £2.50
I’m not doing very well with this box lol Again, I can’t use this Christian Potier Sauce myself due to the pepper but I know someone in the house will make good use of it. You get 3 x 50g sachets of sauce that are quick and easy to use. They only take 10 seconds to heat up in the microwave. No fuss, no mess and no waste. Just one sachet to one plate. It’s natural, with no preservatives, no artificial colours or flavours either. You would receive one of three available flavours in your box.
Broderick’s Crunchy Slam Dunk Peanut Chunk rrp £1.20
The last item for this month’s DegustaboxUK is this Broderick’s Crunchy Slam Dunk Peanut Chunk – try saying that fast! This has whole roasted peanuts, Rice Krispies, and Belgian chocolate topped with a thick layer of chunky peanut butter plus topped with a marbled layer of Belgian white and milk chocolate. As you can see, it’s very thick and really full of peanuts and Krispies. My son ate this and said it was really delicious. I think he was hoping there was more than one, as he really enjoyed it.
My Overall Thoughts on the Degustabox for November 2016
I really enjoy this box each month. Even if there is something that I can’t personally eat, I know it won’t go to waste because one of my kids will eat it, so it’s great for families to try out too.
There was a nice festive theme running through from the tasty crackers and thins to the glitter jelly and J2O. A nice selection of snacks and drinks to enjoy over the holidays.
I love that this box allows you to try so many items out, either before they hit the stores or whilst they are still relatively new.
