It seems really crazy to me that we are already halfway through the year – wasn’t it only January a few weeks ago?! That’s honestly what it feels like to me; this year is flying by so quickly. Anyway, today I am sharing the Degusta Box for June 2023.
What is Degusta Box All About?
So, if you are new here and have never heard of Degusta Box UK I’ll quickly explain what it is and how it works.
Degusta Box UK is a monthly subscription box that contains between 10-15 items each month, most of which are new to the market. The products are chosen and put together by a team of specialists who look for foods that are versatile, innovative, and delicious. You can read some of my reviews for previous boxes here. It costs £12.99 per month. You can also find a discount at the end of the post. So, that means you’ll pay just £7.99 for your first box!
Degusta Box June 2023 Theme & Contents
For the June Degusta Box, there was a theme of ‘Picnic & On the Go’ and there were 14 items in this box. So, let’s get to it and take a look at the items in the box.
What’s In The Box? Sweet Treats
SKITTLES® Desserts and Squishy Cloudz Fruits or Squishy Cloudz Crazy Sours (rrp £1.25)
I’ll start by saying that Andy bought 3 more packs of the Desserts after trying them! I was a bit ‘meh’ about them and I think I would choose the original flavours over the dessert ones. However, I love the Squishy Cloudz Fruitz so much. They really are soft and fruity. You would have received 2 of these in your box.
Available in major supermarkets chains
Smint XXL Peppermint Tin (rrp £1.50)
You can’t really go wrong with peppermint mints. These are three times bigger than regular Smint and come in a very handy tin.
Available in major supermarket chains
Nakd Peanut Butter Protein Bar and Cocoa Hazelnut Protein Bar (£1.25 ea)
My lads absolutely loved these protein bars and said they were really tasty and had lots of flavours. You would have received 2 of these in your June Degusta Box. These are made with 100% natural ingredients and have no added sugar.
Available in major supermarket chains
What’s in the Box? Savoury
Ryvita Rosemary & Sea Salt Ryvita Thins or Multi-Seed Ryvita Thins (£2.20 each)
You would have received one of the two available flavours in your Degusta Box. I received the Rosemary & Sea Salt Ryvita Thins. I buy Ryvita fairly often and have done so for years. These Ryvita Thins are actually really tasty and so perfect for dipping too.
Available at Tesco, Morrisons and Sainsbury's, Waitrose and Ocado
Forest Feast Sea Salt & Cider Vinegar Nut Mix (£1.25)
Lots of crunchy and tasty nuts including cashews, huge almonds, pecans and jumbo pumpkin seeds, These are slow-roasted with hand-harvested sea salt & cider vinegar.
Available from Sainsbury's, Amazon and Costco
Olly’s Garlic & Basil Olives (£1.50)
I must admit we passed these on as none of us like olives. I can tell you they are vegan-friendly and a great source of fibre and the whole pouch is only 75 calories!
Available on Sainsbury's, Co-op, in Boots, Amazon and Olly's shop
Manomasa Tortilla Chips Manchego & Green Olive and Serrano Chilli & Yucatan Honey (£1.00 ea)
These actually really surprised me as I thought I wouldn’t like them at all. But, I really enjoyed them, especially the Manchego & Green Olive flavour. They’re crunchy and so flavourful too! You would have received both of these flavours in your June Degusta Box 2023.
Available in Sainsbury's, Waitrose, Morrisons, Co-op & Ocado
What’s In The Box? Drinks
Rio Tropical (£0.85each)
This drink is really refreshing and does taste like summer in a can! It’s made with real fruit juice and then topped up with lightly sparkling water. Plus it has added Vitamin C!
Available on Amazon and at independent retailers
TWO BROOKS Craft Hard Seltzer Passion Star or Mango Hi-Ball (£ 2.00)
This was such a nice drink. We chilled it beforehand and it was really refreshing. You would have received one of the two flavours available.
Available on twobrooks.co.uk, Amazon,
Cawston Press Sparkling Rhubarb or Elderflower Lemonade (£3.50 each)
You would have received one of the two flavours available. I received the Sparkling Rhubarb. Some people find rhubarb quite tart, but I love rhubarb and thoroughly loved this. Yes, it was on the tart side but I found drinking it well chilled reduced the tartness and it was delicious. I would definitely purchase this in the future.
750ml glass bottles available on Ocado, Amazon and cawstonpress.com 300ml cans available at major supermarkets
What’s In The Box? Sauces
Hellman’s Real Caesar or Real Garlic & Herb Dressing or Fat-Free Vinaigrette or Real Thousand Island Dressing or Real Honey & Mustard Dressing (£2.60 each)
You would have received one of the five flavours available in your June Degusta Box. I received the Real Garlic & Herbs Dressing. This was something I wouldn’t eat as I can’t stand garlic lol but everyone else eats it. You can actually use this as a dressing or a dip; always love a multi-purpose product! The garlic lovers in my family really enjoyed this dressing!
My Overall Thoughts On The Degusta Box June 2023
The Degusta Box for June 2023 introduced me to 3 new brands and 3 fantastic new products, well, they were new to me at least!
My top picks for this box were the SKITTLES® Squishy Cloudz Fruits, the Sparkling Rhubarb from Cawston Press and the Manomasa Tortilla Chips which were a bit of a revelation
I don’t think I could pick my ultimate favourite product from these three as they were all fab!
