I’m later than usual with my review for the Degusta Box for March 2021. March just seems to have gone by in the blink of an eye. Plus, it was somewhat of a nightmare month as my 23-year-old son had a life-changing accident at work with a machine saw. Anyway, I digress, so on to the March Degusta Box!
Now, if you are new here and have never heard of Degusta Box UK I’ll quickly explain what it is and how it works.
Degusta Box UK is a monthly subscription box that contains between 10-15 items each month, most of which are new to the market. You can read some of my reviews for previous boxes here. It costs £12.99 per month. You can also find a discount at the end of the post. So, that means you’ll pay just £9.99 for your first box!
Degusta Box For March 2021 Theme & Contents
So, let’s dive right in so I can share with you the contents of the Degusta Box for March 2021. The March box welcomes in Spring with a ‘Hello Spring’ theme.
What’s In The Box?: Drinks
Esprala Apple & Red Plum (£1.09 rrp) – Served chilled this is a tasty, refreshing drink. Low in calories and no added sugar.
Lucozade Zero Tropical (£1.49 rrp) – This mango & pineapple flavour is the latest offering from Lucozade. I’m on the fence with this one. I mean, I don’t hate it but I don’t love it either. I’m going to say that if you like tropical flavours then you would most likely enjoy this flavour.
What’s In The Box?: Sweet Treats
PITCH Bloc’O’Choc (£1.40 rrp) – My kids used to love PITCH when they were young. They still love them now, so these lasted about five minutes. A big thumbs up. Tasty brioche roll with a solid chocolate bar in the middle.
Brynmor Flapjacks Apple & Raspberry (£2.00 rrp) – You would have received one of three flavours in your Degusta Box for March 2021. The other two flavours available are Caramel Fudge and Dark Chocolate & Ginger. I loved these flapjacks, fruity, moist and full of flavour.
Mallow & Marsh Vanilla Marshmallow Bar Coated in Chocolate (£1.35 rrp) – This really was a light and fluffy marshmallow bar. No artificial colours, flavourings or palm oil. Covered in delicious Belgian chocolate, a real treat at 134 calories per bar, if you’re counting!
Maynards Bassetts Fruit Smoothie Jellies (£1.32 rrp) – I think these were my favourite item out of the Degusta Box for March 2021. So fruity, so soft and just delightfully yummy. There are four flavours, Mango & Passionfruit, Strawberry & Banana, Pineapple & Lemon and Pomegranate & berry. All 4 flavour jellies are delicious.
SMARTIES® Orange Chocolate Sharing Block (£1.00 rrp) – You would have received either this orange flavour or the milk chocolate one. What’s not to love about SMARTIES® in a bar of orange chocolate?
Enervit Protein (£2.50 rrp) – I didn’t try this myself, one of my sons did and he really liked it. This was one of two flavours you could have received.
What’s In The Box?: Savoury
Kellogg’s Crunchy Nut Peanut Butter (£2.50 rrp) – This was the Product of the Month for March. Not eating peanut butter myself, I left this to the rest of the family to try. They loved it! The said it was full of that honey roasted peanut flavour and gave it two big thumbs up!
Mug Shot Mighty Chicken & Mushroom Noodles (£1.49 rrp) – Great for a quick snack. As far as instant noodles go, it was pretty tasty and did the job.
Organic CHEERIOS® Honey & Chocolate (£3.00 rrp) – This cereal sees CHEERIOS® debut in the UK’s organic market. Family loved it just as much as any other CHEERIOS®.
Filippo Berio Extra Virgin Olive Oil / Balsamic Vinegar (£1.29 rrp) – Both of these would have been in your March box. This olive oil has been around almost as long as I have, so it’s very well known and loved. Both of these are already used in our house, we love them!
Hippeas Chickpea Puff Snacks (£0.99 rrp) – The Salt & Vinegar vibes flavour is by far my favourite. They almost have a nutty flavour to them. Light, crunchy and decidedly moreish! Also, totally gluten free, vegan and les than 91 calories per pack.
My Overall Thoughts On the Degusta Box For March 2021
A really great selection of products in the March box. As I mentioned earlier my favourite was the Maynards Bassetts Fruit Smoothie Jellies. So, so good!! Also, have to give a mention to the Brynmor Flapjacks, they were definitely one of the nicest tasting flapjacks that I have ever had!
