AD – Contains Gifted PR Samples
I’m a little late with the February 2020 Degusta Box review. I’ve not been too well recently, so have been struggling to get stuff done.
If you’re a regular reader then you probably know by now just what Degusta Box UK is. For those that aren’t familiar with it, I’ll quickly explain.
Degusta Box UK is a monthly subscription box that contains between 10-15 items each month, most of which are new to the market. You can read some of my reviews for previous boxes here. It costs £12.99 per month but you can find a discount at the end of the post which means you’ll pay just £7.99 for your first box!
What’s In The box?
Anyway, let’s get straight into shall we and see what’s in the February 2020 Degusta Box.
These TREK Protein Flapjacks Cocoa Oat (rrp £2.50) were really tasty; lovely chocolate melted on the top of golden oats. The oats they’re made with are also Gluten-Free. They’re also Vegan and have 9g of plant-based proteins.
You can’t go wrong with this Livia’s Million Squares in Salted Caramel (rrp £1.50). Vega, gluten and dairy-free this sumptuous treat can be enjoyed by just about everyone. The raw dark chocolate, the oaty base and the gooey salted caramel make it a really delicious treat.
We’ve not yet tried these Very Lazy Slow Cooker Pots (rrp £1.99). You would have received one of these flavours. I’d imagine these would be brilliant whilst people are having to self isolate. They require just a handful of ingredients and they have 2 recipes, one meaty, one meat-free.
You would have received one of 3 flavours of Lost Coast Fruit Sprizer+ACV (rrp £2.49) in your February 2020 Degusta Box. I received the Mango, Turmeric and Ginger flavour. I have to be honest and say I didn’t like this flavour but I’d be interested to try a different flavour.
Bunnies made of chocolate & wafer pieces? Hell yes! Really enjoyed this KIKAT Milk Chocolate Easter Bunny (rrp £0.65) The familiar chocolate and a yummy chocolate centre with wafer pieces. I was nice and only ate one lol You would have received 2 of these in your box.
I absolutely love dried fruit so when I saw these Jacked Foods (rrp £1.89) dried fruits chunks I was excited. I’ve never tried Jackfruit or Ndizi before. You would have received the Jackfruit chunks in your box. These were so full of fruity flavour and soft and I loved them!
When I want a quick lunch these kind of things are perfect. I often buy Mug Shots and found this Mug Shot High Protein Roast Chicken Pasta (rrp £1.29) to be just as tasty as their others. Ready in 5 minutes, 13g of protein and under 260 cals, plus less than 2% fat too.
No doubt about it, these Galaxy® Vegan Bars (rrp £3.00) are THE nicest Vegan chocolate I have ever had. I actually would not have known they were Vegan as they tasted just so creamy and chocolatey You would have received one of these 3 flavours. They actually use Hazelnut paste to achieve the smooth and creamy characteristics of Galaxy®.
I saw these and was a little disappointed as I don’t like coconut. Fortunately, the rest of the family really enjoyed these My Sweet Chickpea snacks (rrp £1.25). I thought these were such a great idea for a snack though.
The smell of mustard always reminds me of my Dad as he had it all the time. I don’t like it myself but I love the smell of it. This Grey Poupon Dijon Mustard (rrp £1.50) has a really smooth and tasty flavour, so I am told by my family. It’s made with a white wine base and has been made the traditional French way, as it has been since 1777!
My grandson and granddaughter will love these Heinz Paw Patrol & Disney Frozen No Added Sugar Pasta Shapes (rrp £0.55). I remember when I was little I loved eating Heinz pasta shapes; mostly the alphabetti and I think they even did numberetti then too. It’s great that these are no added sugar too.
My Overall Thoughts about the February 2020 Degusta Box
Before I forget there was also a gift voucher to get a Shaken Udder Milkshake (rrp £1.40) but sadly we do all our shopping online so couldn’t redeem it.
So, what did I think about the February 2020 Degusta Box? It was actually a nice selection of items. I particularly liked the Galaxy® Vegan Bars, the Jacked Food Jackfruit Chunks and the Livia’s Salted Caramel Million Square.
