Let me just start by saying that you need the LaRoc Pro Chocolate Box Eyeshadow Palette in your makeup collection. It’s perfect for a night out, date night or just when you’re feeling in need of a little girl power.
The LaRoc Pro Chocolate Box is a stunning makeup palette that includes 18 ultra-pigmented mattes, 6 prismatic metallics and 2 extra-dimensional strobe powder highlights. The packaging is sleek and sturdy with a magnetic closure that makes it easy to store. I love that every shade has a distinctly chocolate box name too.
Quality of the Eyeshadows
The eyeshadows are pigmented, buildable and blend well together, which is perfect for creating an everyday look or doing something more dramatic for special occasions. So, this palette will easily take you from a subtle daytime look to a smokey look for the night. I like palettes that are versatile and this one ticks all the boxes.
All of the eyeshadows are buttery soft and there’s minimum fallout too. Some shades apply better using a finger but that’s nothing different from lots of other palettes. Shimmers, metallics, and glitters all tend to apply better with a finger than a brush. In my experience, at least.
There’s a nice amount of transition shades in the palette and the 6 prismatic metallics can really zhoosh up any eye look you come up with.
Eyeshadow Swatches
Extra-Dimensional Strobe Powder Highlighters Swatches
The 2 extra-dimensional strobe powder highlights are just stunning and make a great addition to the 24 eyeshadows. They are highly pigmented, so if you love your highlighter to be seen from the space, you’ll love Bitter Sweet and Toasted Coconut!
An Eye Look Using the Pink & Peach Tones
I created this look using mostly the pink, peach and brown tones from the palette. White Choc was applied over my whole lid, then I used Strawberries & Cream as a transition colour. I then used Sweetie in my crease and outer corners. To really darken the outer corner & crease I used Divine. Then Melted over the outer corner, just to give it slightly more depth. In the centre of my eyelid, I used Delicious, applied with my finger. Then over that, I also applied Champagne Truffle. In the corner of my eye, I used Honey Nut. I also used it under my lower lashline, to almost halfway. Then I used Divine. The look was finished off with liquid eyeliner and mascara. Added some blush and then Toasted Coconut as a highlighter. For my lips, I went with a matte liquid lipstick in a dark shade of pink. I’m not wearing any foundation because I just prefer not to. Lashes are my own, just in case, anyone is wondering.
This look was very out of my comfort zone as I tend to always just wear cool browns and creams on my eyes. I was really pleased with the final look though. Plus, t’s definitely made me want to try some more looks with the palette.
My Overall Thoughts
I really enjoyed using this palette and having a play around with shades that I wouldn’t normally choose. The shadows were very easy to work with and they blend like a dream. There was some fallout but mostly it was when loading the brush. Tap it off and then apply and there is almost zero fallout then. The colour story is beautiful and there are so many looks you could create with this palette. It’s definitely a very wearable palette and welcome addition to my makeup collection.
