Can you believe that Christmas is only 2 weeks away! I think a mild state of panic has set in as I’ve not been feeling well for a fair while now, so a lot of things I would have already organised, sorted, made lists for etc just hasn’t been done yet..eeek! Anyway, I’ve finally managed to do my review for the Degusta Box November 2023, so let’s crack on, shall we?!
What is Degusta Box All About?
So, if you are new here and have never heard of Degusta Box UK I’ll quickly explain what it is and how it works.
Degusta Box UK is a monthly subscription box that contains between 10-15 items each month, most of which are new to the market. The products are chosen and put together by a team of specialists who look for foods that are versatile, innovative, and delicious. You can read some of my reviews for previous boxes here. It costs £12.99 per month. You can also find a discount at the end of the post. So, that means you’ll pay just £7.99 for your first box!
Degusta Box November 2023 Theme & Contents
There wasn’t any theme for November but there was still a good assortment of brands and products. In fact it features 12 brands and 12 products. Spoiler – the Product of the Month is very yummy too!
What’s In The Box? Sweet
PhD Nutrition Smart Bar (£1.50)
A delicious cookies & cream protein bar perfect for an on-the-go snack. It has 10 g of protein and only 1.1g of sugar. Did I mention it’s delicious? 😉
Available at phd.com
Product of the Month
Terry’s Chocolate Mint (£1.50)
I’ve loved Terry’s Chocolate Orange for years and I was so excited when I saw they now do a mint version. Mint chocolate is my absolute favourite and this is just divine. Creamy and minty and one segment is never enough! lol
Available at major supermarket chains
Forest Feast Salted Dark Chocolate Almonds (£1.50)
Gluten-free and Vegan these Salted Dark Chocolate Almonds are quite moreish. They are available in 2 sizes and they really hit that spot whether you are craving a sweet or salty snack.
Available at Waitrose, Sainsbury's, Ocado, Amazon & fine food independents
What’s in the Box? Savoury
Love Corn Smoked BBQ
I’ve had Love Corn a few times but not this particular flavour and they are such a great snack. Crunchy and very moreish!
Available at major retailers
Heinz Spicy Parsnip Soup (£1.70)
Not one for me sadly as I don’t like Parsnips and I can’t tolerate chilli and peppers. I can imagine that this would make a lovely, warming soup though during these colder months. I do love a good soup. Andy makes a wicked leek and potato soup!
Available at Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrisons, Iceland, ASDA and Ocado
Nissin Demae Ramen Chicken (£ 0.65)
Ahh, a very tasty ramen, I do love chicken noodles and these are one of my favourite brands. You would have received this flavour or the Tonkotsu one.
Available at Major Supermarkets chains
SlooOw Stone Oven Baguette White (£1.60 each)
Who doesn’t love freshly baked bread? I always forget how much I enjoy the simplicity of slices of warm bread, with butter. This baguette is just lovely!
Available at Tesco & Coop
Kühne Gourmet Gherkins with Herbs (£3.55 each)
Gherkins are just a no-go for me. I know, I’m so boring lol Thankfully Andy likes them and he loved these. He said they had the perfect crunch to them!
Available at Waitrose and Ocado
What’s In The Box? Sauces
Knorr Vegetable Stock Pot (£1.90 each)
Love love love Knorr Stock Pots. We always keep a supply of them in our pantry. As we make a lot of our soups these make a brilliant and tasty addition to them.
Available in major supermarket chains
Plantastic Creamy Pasta Sauce Tomato & Chargrilled Pepper (£2.80 each)
We make pasta bakes quite a lot and put this sauce to the test. It went down a storm with the family, so I am sure this will become a regular purchase.
Available at Morrisons and Tesco
What’s In The Box? Cereal
Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Multigrain Honey (£3.00 each)
These were really lovely and I’m usually not a fan of honey in cereal. Definitely something we will purchase again as the rest of the family enjoyed them even more than I did.
Available in other sizes at all major supermarkets
What’s In The Box? Drinks
Double Dutch Lemon (£1.20 each)
If you want to spruce up your vodka etc then this is exactly what you need. It’s like adding a big dose of sunshine to your drink. Or if you prefer you can drink it as it comes. It’s a blend of lemon, lime and quassia and reminds me of sunny days! If you could bottle summertime, this would be it!
Available in major supermarket chains
My Overall Thoughts On The Degusta Box November 2023
Although there was no theme to this box I still enjoyed the selection of brand and products. There were only a small amount that I wouldn’t or couldn’t eat due to intolerances.
I didn’t even have to think about my ultimate favourite product from this box. Hands down it is the Terry’s Chocolate Mint. Mint chocolate is my favourite and this one is just so yummy; smooth, creamy and minty! Then it would definitely be the Nissin Damae Ramen and the SlooOw baguette!
