I decided that the December 2016 #LFXMAS Look Fantastic box was to be my last one for the time being, so I really hoped that it would be a good one to go out on.
As usual, there was a copy of ELLE magazine included, always nice for something to read. The design for the box this month was also very pretty. Rose gold with white snowflakes. Did you notice the snowflakes are made out of cosmetics and hairbrushes though? So cute!
I’m sure we all just want to get to the goodies inside though, so let’s do just that!
BubbleT Bath Bomb
This Hisbiscus and Acai Berry Tea bath fizzer are rich in anti-oxidants and Vitamins A & C thanks to the Goji berry extracts. Sure to refresh and restore you after a long day. Plus, it smells really good too.
Illamasqua Hydra Veil Rehydrating Gel
Apparently, this is a part primer, part hydrator. As someone with dry skin, that sounds kind of perfect. This gel claims to hydrate and smooth your skin. It contains microalgae, Vitamin C and B3. These work together helping to maintain your skin’s hydration levels. Together with plant extracts these ingredients will prep your skin, ready for the foundation by calming, refreshing and hydrating your skin.
Skin Republic Caviar and CoQ10 Face Mask
As far as I’m concerned receiving a sheet mask or any kind of face mask is always a good thing. This one contains a blend of Caviar which is extremely rich in vitamins to moisturise the skin. I am really fond of masks that contain CoQ10 too; they always leave my skin glowing and soft. I’m definitely looking forward to trying this out at some point.
Balance Me Pure Skin Face Wash
Not the greatest for my own skin, which is sensitive and dry. This face wash contains Grapefruit Oil and Frankincense Oil. Both of these are fantastic for those whose skin is congested, dull and has blemishes.
Mellow Cosmetics ‘Madness’ Lipstick
This is a really gorgeous deep red matte formula lipstick. I think red lips for me, are synonymous with Christmas. It’s long-wearing and I didn’t find it drying either. Just a really lovely lipstick and a perfect shade for parties.
Philip Kingsley Elasticizer
This is a pre-shampoo treatment. Supposedly it adds body, bounce and volume to your hair. It’s not heavy so should be good even for fine hair. I’m not sure this is something I would use myself but it would definitely be a nice treat for your hair.
Overall Thoughts About December 2016 #LFXMAS Look Fantastic
I think it was an ok box this month. Not particularly the best for me personally. I more than likely will not use the hair product, the face wash or the bath bomb.
The lipstick, face mask and gel primer I know I will use. I will probably pass the rest on to someone else.
As Christmas boxes go, I think I was expecting more and found this one just a little disappointing.
I still think that Look Fantastic is a great monthly subscription box though and well, it’s nigh on impossible to have a box you love every single month.
As I mentioned earlier, the December 2016 #LFXMAS box is my last one for now.
There are still plenty of other subscription boxes out there, so I will be trying some new ones in the New Year.
