When I got a sneak peek at the December 2016 Glossybox, well, I just had to sign up again because the box looked so gorgeous.
I mean, first off the box design is just really beautiful. Such a pretty gold and white mistletoe design and Mistletoe Kisses in a lovely cursive font on the side of the box. I think this is definitely my favourite box design that they have done.
There were two options available for this month, Sugar or Spice. I chose Spice. I believe Sugar was more neutral colours and had slightly different contents.
What’s In the Box?
So, let’s take a closer look at the content of the December 2016 Glossybox, shall we!
MDM Flow Semi-Matte Lipstick in Vamp RRP £18.00
Such a gorgeous colour and just about perfect for party season. This really makes a bold lip statement. I always prefer a bold lip and if anything I usually downplay the eyes.
Revlon Nail Enamel in Valentine RRP £6.49
To match the lipstick is this equally gorgeous nail polish. In a deep red, this is supposed to be chip-resistant for 10 days. I’ve not put it to the test so I don’t know how true that is. It’s a gorgeous deep red though.
Collection Cosmetics Define & Perfect Eyebrow Powder RRP £4.19
With a bold lip, you really need defined brows and this brow powder should help with that. It has tiny fibres in it that add instant volumes to brows. A fine tip also helps you create natural-looking hair-like strokes. I admit I suck at doing my brows. My eyebrows are so dark, almost black and filling them in and shaping them never looks right, so I am hoping this might help.
Essence Light Up Your Face Luminizer RRP £3.00
This trio of highlights is simply stunning. With these three shades of highlighters, you can easily go from a subtle glow for the daytime, to a dazzling glam glow for the night. Very soft and pigmented, they apply like a dream to cheeks, bridge of the nose and your cupid’s bow. Just gorgeous.
Lipcote RRP £3.99
Seeing Lipcote in the December Glossybox brought back a heap of memories for me. I remember using this when I was a teenager. I used to love this stuff and it was brilliant at sealing lipstick so it wouldn’t budge. I honestly didn’t even realise it still existed. I shall definitely be trying this out and see if it is still as good as I recall it being.
Overall Thoughts About The December 2016 Glossybox
I first subscribed to Glossybox in December 2015 but did cancel a little while ago after I got really disappointed by their customer service and just a very poor birthday box.
I only signed up again for the December Glossybox and cancelled straight after. This box was just too lovely to miss out on though.
I really did love this box and it was great that they included 5 full-size products too. All of the products were really good quality and definitely ones that I will use time and time again.
If Glossybox put out boxes of this quality every month, well, I might just be convinced to sign up again. For now, though, I’m going to enjoy the December Glossybox and carry on trying out some other subscription boxes.
