I meant to get the August 2019 Degusta Box UK review up before now but to be honest, I was taking somewhat of a break from the blog and social media. My mental & physical health just wasn’t very good, so I thought stepping back a bit would do me good. Anyway, I just wanted to give a very brief explanation.
If you’re a regular reader then you probably know by now just what Degusta Box UK is but for those that aren’t familiar with it, I’ll quickly explain.
Degusta Box UK is a monthly subscription box that contains between 10-15 items each month, most of which are new to the market. You can read some of my reviews for previous boxes here. It costs £12.99 per month but you can find a discount at the end of the post which means you’ll pay just £7.99 for your first box!
What’s In the box?
The theme for the August 2019 Degusta Box UK was ‘Back to School & On the Go‘. There were two versions for this box, one featuring alcohol and the other which was alcohol-free. I will list all the items that were included in both boxes but I will specify if a product was only available in one version.
First up is Attack a Snak Nachos. This is the perfect little snack for kids – and adults even! You get crunchy nacho chips, salsa and creamy nacho cheese.
I’m not really much of a tea drinker unless it’s a fruit tea of some kind. So I’ve not actually tried these yet. These three teas from Pure Leaf are blended using only the finest long leaves and paired with natural ingredients such as herbs, flower petals and real fruit.
Protein drinks are always popular in the house, especially with two of my sons, one of which works out at the gym several times a week. This UFIT Chocolate Protein Drink has no added sugar, other than naturally occurring sugars from the milk itself. It’s also low in fat and of course high in protein. A healthy alternative for anyone and not just for gym bunnies! 😉
These Fruit Bowls are just so good for youngsters! Mind you I really liked them all myself too. Perfect for little hands and nice portion size. They’re incredibly tasty and my grandchildren loved them!
This ManiLife peanut butter was only in the alcohol version of the August 2019 Degusta Box. You would have received this one and an Original Crunchy one but I was missing that one. I don’t like peanut butter but was assured that this was delicious!
Such a fun way to enjoy jelly and way less messy too! These have no added sugar, no artificial sweeteners, no preservatives and are made with real fruit juice. They went down a storm with my grandson.
I enjoy a KITKAT and these KITKAT Senses bar were really delicious and felt like a little bit of a luxury as a treat. It was nice to have an actual layer of filling as well. The Salted Caramel was definitely my favourite.
I’ve always been a fan of Blossom Hill, so I was delighted to find this in August’s box. This one was the winner of Product of the Year 2019. It’s a really lovely dry but fruity and refreshing Pale Rosé. Needless to say, this did not last very long in the house!
Believe it or not, this ravioli has been made by Heinz for over 50 years! It’s a quick and easy tin to table meal in under 5 minutes. My kids loved it when they were young.
This Hazelnut Spread is really tasty so I love that it has 97% less sugar than other brands. It’s just delicious and everyone in the house loves it!
I’m not keen on almonds but others in the house really enjoyed these. You either got this flavour or the Dark Chocolate Raspberry ones. They do make a great snack though if you’re out and about.
My Overall Thoughts On The August 2019 Degusta Box UK
Before I forget there was also a voucher you could redeem to get a free packet of Strings & Things Cheeseshapes. We do all our shopping online so we haven’t had a chance to redeem it yet.
Both versions of the August box were pretty decent. A nice variety of snacks and of course the Blossom Hill if you had the alcohol version of the box. I tried some new items like the Fruit Bowls and the KITKAT Senses Bars, which I thoroughly enjoyed! Definitely an overall thumbs up from me!
