Supplements are something that I’ve really gotten into over the last two or three years. Amongst my favourites are those that are formulated for healthy skin, hair and nails. Recently I have been trying LQ Liquid Health Supplements. They have been reviewed a lot on Instagram and on various blogs. I’ve never seen any bad reviews about them either, only positive ones.

There are a number of important ingredients that contribute to maintaining healthy skin, hair and nails. The 4 most important are Collagen, Hyaluronic Acid, Biotin and Resveratrol.
- 7000mg Marine Collagen – A natural protein and a key building block of the skin
- Hyaluronic Acid – Often known as nature’s moisturiser
- Biotin – contributes to the maintenance of normal skin and hair
- Resveratrol – A key beauty ingredient extracted from grapes
Each 50ml bottle has more effective ingredients than 10-12 pills. It contains multiple key ingredients including 7000mg of high bioavailability Peptan™ marine collagen. This is great for the skin as it helps to increase smoothness, and improves firmness and hydration too. Collagen also helps your skin cells to keep renewing and repairing normally.
Biotin (Vitamin B7) I am very familiar with. I have taken a biotin supplement for over 2 years to help with hair health and regrowth. It really helps you maintain healthy hair. Plus, It grows faster too. It also helps to maintain healthy nails. Making them stronger and quicker to grow.
Hyaluronic Acid is well known for its benefits to the skin. Helping it to keep hydrated. Plus improving skin tone, fine lines and wrinkles.
Resveratrol is extracted from grapes. Very much like blueberries, it is an antioxidant and a key beauty ingredient.
Liquid Vs Pills
This is the first liquid supplement I have taken. So what are the benefits of a liquid supplement over taking a pill?
LQ Liquid Health Supplements are more easily digestible and absorbed by the body a lot faster. This is called bioavailability. Basically, it’s just much easier to absorb and each dose has a greater benefit.
They are more powerful with 10 active ingredients. More highly concentrated too. As I mentioned earlier they are more effective than 10+ pills.
Easier to take because not everyone likes taking pills. Some people can’t actually swallow pills too and it’s more common than you think. So a liquid supplement may be the ideal solution.
My Experience with LQ Liquid Health Supplements
For my review, I was gifted 3 boxes, which are 30 x 50ml bottles. As skin cell turnover takes 28 days I wanted to give them at least a month. They come in boxes of 10 and cost £29.99 so they are quite expensive if you’re on a tight budget.
On my first day of taking them, I opened a bottle, having shaken it first. You get a slight froth on opening. Of course, I had to smell it first and I will be completely honest, it smelled awful to me. I do have a very sensitive sense of smell though. It just smelled very fishy to me. I almost couldn’t bring myself to drink it.
When I finally did force myself to drink it, I hated the taste. I still don’t know how others say it tastes nice. Nope, nope, nope! In the end, I did manage to get the first bottle down me. At this point, I was wondering how I would ever be able to do 30 days of them. So I just had to suck it up each day until I was asked how I was getting on with them.
I explained that I just couldn’t tolerate the taste. It was then suggested that I pour it into a smoothie or some juice. It was something I had considered doing but wasn’t sure if it would be ok. The next morning I poured my LQ Liquid Health Supplement into a berry smoothie. Now THAT was a revelation, I can tell you. Once I did this, taking them each day was a breeze! There was no taste of the supplement at all once mixed into a smoothie.
The Results
The first thing I noticed was a change in my skin. It became noticeably more even-toned, brighter and glowy. This was nearing the end of the 30 days but makes complete sense given skin cell renewal times. Then again, it’s not like I was expecting overnight results or results in even just a few days. If I’m honest, when it comes to hair and nails, I think that more time is needed. I didn’t really notice a huge difference. That said before starting the LQ Liquid Health Supplements I was already taking a Biotin supplement for a long time. So this could be why. My nails are already very strong and grow quickly. The same goes for my hair too.
My Overall Thoughts On the LQ Liquid Health Supplements
After taking these liquid supplements for 30 days I was fairly impressed with the results of my skin. It really did look and feel a lot better than previously. I do think that had I continued to take them past the 30 days, the results would have been even better. There’d also be more chance to really see any change to my nails and hair. Probably 2-3 months I’d expect hair and nails to start showing noticeable results.
Sadly, liquid supplements like these don’t come cheap though. You have to look at it as an investment for your skin, hair and nails. It would also be something you would need to take on a regular basis each day. If you kept stopping and starting or missed days, you’d be wasting money and you wouldn’t see the desired results either. So I recommend making sure you’re willing to commit to these on a long-term basis before you buy them.
Would I purchase these In the Future?
To be completely honest with you, no I would not. Purely because they are just a bit too expensive for my budget. That’s no reflection on the supplement itself, I just literally cannot afford it.
