It’s that time again, where I share my review of the last Degusta Box and so, it’s for the Degusta Box for August 2021! It made me realise how quickly this year has gone by when I saw that the theme of the August box was Back to School & On the Go. I hadn’t even realised that it was back to school time but then my kids have left school now.

Anyway, if you are new here and have never heard of Degusta Box UK I’ll quickly explain what it is and how it works.
Degusta Box UK is a monthly subscription box that contains between 10-15 items each month, most of which are new to the market. The products are chosen and put together by a team of specialists who look for foods that are versatile, innovative, and delicious. You can read some of my reviews for previous boxes here. It costs £12.99 per month. You can also find a discount at the end of the post. So, that means you’ll pay just £9.99 for your first box!
Degusta Box For August 2021 Theme & Contents
As I mentioned earlier, the Degusta Box for August 2021 is all about Back to School and On the Go. So it features lots of quick and easy snacks, plus a couple of things to help with mealtimes. So, let’s take a look, shall we?
What’s In The Box?: Drinks

Virtue Drinks Clean Energy (rrp £1.50) – Sourced from green coffee beans, plus B-vitamins, this healthy energy drink has zero sugar. Plus it’s made with all-natural ingredients. But it still contains the same amount of natural caffeine (80mg) as the leading energy drink or coffee. I loved this lemon and lime energy drink, it was really zesty and refreshing. You would have received one of two flavours in your box.

UP & GO Breakfast Drinks (rrp £2.75 for a 3 pk) – One of my sons tried these Banana & Honey Breakfast Drinks and immediately asked where I got them from as they were ‘bangin’. So it goes without saying that he loved these. These are perfect if you need a quick breakfast. They’re made with milk and oats and are high in protein, fibre and calcium.

Product of the Month: Nescafé Gold Iced Salted Caramel Latte (rrp £2.98) – I’m not a coffee drinker so I left this iced coffee for my family to try. They really enjoyed this as a couple of them really love iced coffees. We buy these types of coffee sachets on a regular basis, so I am sure we will buy this one again.
What’s In The Box?: Sweet Treats
5th Season Fruit Strawberry Bites (rrp £1.50) – One of my favourite snacks are dried fruit, so I was looking forward to trying these. Obviously, freeze-dried fruit is completely different from regular dried fruit. These strawberry bites were packed full of flavour. They melt in the mouth but are still kinda crunchy. I always find freeze-dried fruit a weird experience. What I also loved about these is that there is absolutely nothing added to them. There’s just 80g of fruit and at less than 50Kcal per pack, you can eat this guilt-free!
Clifbar White Chocolate Macadamia Nut & Crunchy Peanut Butter (rrp £0.75 28g bar) – You would have received both of these flavours in your August Degusta Box. These bars are tasty and packed with carbs and proteins, so it’s perfect for snacking on the go.

Pågen Gifflar Cinnamon Rolls (rrp £1.70) – I’m not a massive fan of cinnamon so sadly these were not for me. The cinnamon was just too much. I don’t mind a bit of it but these had a lot but that’s just me; I’m so fussy! lol. However, the rest of the family loved them and they did not last very long at all! They are perfect snack-sized bites.

Tweek Sweets With Benefits (rrp £1.99) There were two different kinds available of these and you would have received one in your box. I got the Sour Supreme one. I happen to love sour sweets, so I thought I would love these. But, I was disappointed as they didn’t taste sour to me at all. They had a lovely fruit flavour but were quite firm. Enjoyable enough but I wouldn’t rush to buy them in the future as I prefer a softer jelly and something a tad sourer than these were.

OREO Original Cookies (rrp £1.08) What is there to say about Oreo cookies? Moreish and so good dipped in cold milk! Great for sharing, if you want to that is! lol
What’s In The Box?: Savoury

SKIPPY® Peanut Butter Choc Chip Swirl (rrp £2.65) – I am sure most peanut butter lovers would enjoy this as it has chocolate chips swirled through it. So, you get all the yummy peanut butter PLUS a hit of delicious chocolate too!

Knorr Zero Salt Veggie Stock Cubes (rrp £1.19) – These are great if you are watching your salt intake. Perfect for soups and well, anything you would usually use a stock cube for. They are also available in Chicken & Beef and have been awarded Netmums Recommended Accreditation with 93% saying that they would recommend to family and friends. I completely agree, these are fab!

BCirio Pasta Sauce Ragu (rrp £2.00) – You can’t really go wrong with a decent pasta sauce and this was no exception. Packed full of flavour and made with 100% Italian meat and tomatoes too. You would have received one of three flavours in the Degusta Box for August 2021.

Shreddies The Simple One (rrp £2.50) – These Shreddies contain less than 5% sugar and have just 4 simple ingredients: whole grain wheat which is sweetened with banana puree & date syrup and a pinch of salt. Cereal is great for any time of the day, not just breakfast!
My Overall Thoughts On The Degusta Box For August 2021

There was a nice variety of items in the Degusta Box for August 2021. Some great snacks; both savoury and sweet. The majority being quite healthy too, which is always nice to see.
My favourite products from the August box were the Virtue Clean Energy Drink, Oreo Original Cookies and the 5th Season Fruit Strawberry Bites!
