So, today I have a new quarterly lifestyle subscription box for you. The Pomelo Box released its first box back in April, which was the Spring box. Before we take a look at what was in this box, I’ll tell you a little bit about this subscription box itself.
The Pomelo Box is all about supporting talented UK artisans along with smaller businesses. There will be some that are well-known but just as many that you may not have heard of before.
Every 3 months, we’ll curate a new themed box, which we’ll handpick from amazing artisan brands based in the UK. We like to look out for products that particularly focus on sustainability and promote transparency, as well as brands that support fair trade practices.

As each quarterly box has a different theme you will never get the same product more than once either. You can expect to see a mix of both lifestyle and beauty items in each box too.
Each quarterly box will contain:
- A minimum of 5 full sized items (no samples here)
- Always Free P&P
- Retail value of the box will always be much more than the actual cost of the box.
- A variety of items ranging from health and beauty, home, stationery, jewellery and confectionary.
The Spring Box, of course, had a Spring theme ‘Spring is in the Air.’ As Spring is the season of new beginnings this box contained 7 items to help us to recharge and renew after the rubbish winter that we all had to endure. Little indulgent treats to pamper ourselves with are just what is needed.
What’s In The Box?
Lavender & Vetivert Dead Sea Salt Body Polish – Vetivert&Co – £30 rrp – This gorgeous dead sea salt body polish not only smells amazing but will help to slough off all those dead skin cells leaving your skin feeling super soft. My skin felt so wonderful after using this and I felt really relaxed too. No doubt as a result of the Vetivert root oil.
Tsubaki Blue 15ml – Mei Botanic Studio – £11.10 rrp – This beautiful facial oil was such a wonderful discovery. Mei Botanic Studio is a totally new brand to me but I am so grateful to have found it through the Pomelo Box! The main ingredient in this facial oil is Tsubaki, which is also known as ‘Geisha’s Secret‘. My skin is normal with dry patches – thanks to hormonal changes/menopause – and this oil sinks beautifully into the skin. Plus as it’s non-comedogenic, you can rest assured that it won’t clog the pores. I Loved it, and I mean LOVED!
Arya Scented Candle – £8.00rrp – I can get on board with this for many reasons. Not only is it a really lovely scented candle. I love the very simple clean design and this would look good in any room too! Smells beautiful as well. The candle is handmade by Lina & Jenny at Arya Candles. I love that each sale helps to sponsor women from war-torn countries via Women for Women International! How fantastic is that!? Every candle is also made from 100% natural ingredients consisting of pure rapeseed wax, high-quality botanic oils and they have a cotton wick which makes them burn for longer too.
Wild and Organic Coconut and raspberry single origin dark chocolate – Seed and Bean – £2.95 rrp – Handmade, organic, vegan and fair trade, this Seed and Bean chocolate tastes smooth and delicious. You can really taste the raspberry and coconut and it complements the dark chocolate really well. A lovely edible treat and god knows we could all do with ALL the treats these days!
Anti-bacterial Lime & Mango Hand Moisturiser – Bettyhula – £12.99 rrp – Now this is a brand that I adore, Bettyhula! They have the most fabulous smelling products that are simply heavenly. This was no exception, just incredibly fruity, fresh and zesty. Leaves hands feeling really moisturised and soft. With all the heavy use of hand sanitisers and constant washing, our hands have really been suffering. This has no alcohol in it but instead has a silver chromide formula to give you an extra layer of protection. So, this anti-bacterial hand moisturiser is just perfect and I can see why it is an award-winning one. It’s also cruelty-free and vegan.
Rainbow Seedbom – Kabloom – £3.95 rrp – This was such a great item to receive in the Spring Pomelo Box! So apt for Spring. It’s 100% compostable starch and natural fibre based paperfoam shell. All you have to do is simply pull the pin and throw it or if you prefer, place it in bare soil. Just be sure to keep it damp, then just wait for a host of wildflowers to grow and bloom.
Fused Glass Hanging Heart – Morpheus Glass Studio –£16.95 rrp – How gorgeous is this fused glass hanging heart made by Stephanie at Morpheus Glass Studio? This is Stephanie’s new for 2021 design, ‘Falling Hearts’. I love the duck egg blue and it’s a lot larger than it looks – this has some weight to it too!
My Overall Thoughts on the Pomelo Box Spring Edition
I was really impressed with the selection of products in the Spring edition of the Pomelo Box. There was a nice balance of lifestyle items and beauty products. I loved the packaging once you open the box and really appreciated the printed leaflet with details about every item in the box.
Whilst I love the pretty pink box, I did think it was a bit of a shame there was no actually branding on the box itself. Really not a big deal though but I do think it would be a lovely touch to have a logo or something on the outside of the box. I can appreciate that at this point though that might be an expensive thing to do as this is a brand new small business.
Total Value of the Spring Edition of the Pomelo Box
The total value of the Spring edition of the Pomelo Box is £ 85.94.
The subscription itself costs from £45 and is available as a quarterly or annual subscription. You can also buy a one-off box too. You can check out more information on the subscriptions here.
The Spring edition of the Pomelo Box is still available but there are only a few left, so be quick if you want to grab this gorgeous edition.
