A little while ago I got the chance to try out a new Brightening Eye Serum from Oyster Skincare.
Oyster Skincare is actually a brand new premium skincare brand. They blend potent skin enhancing actives with precious mood enhancing essential oils. As well as making this brightening eye serum they already have other products in the pipeline such as nourishing face masks refining polishes, warming oils and intoxicating bath soaks.
Bearing in mind I am 46 years old, my under eye area isn’t exactly terrible but it could definitely do with a little bit of help. Due to lack of sleep, I often find that when I wake in the morning I have some puffiness, dark circles and my whole eye area can just generally look quite tired.
So I was really pleased that I was able to try out this Brightening Eye Serum from Oyster Skincare. It contains Hyaluronic Acid, Co-Enzyme Q10, Pentapeptides and Green Tea, to name but a few. It definitely has a lot of active ingredients.
Fighting Those Wrinkles & Fine Lines
The Hyaluronic Acid it contains really helps to smooth the skin and it’s extremely hydrating. You then have the Pentapeptides which help with reducing wrinkles. The Co-Enzyme Q10 is really great for anti-ageing too and the Niacinamide it contains is wonderful for helping to reduce dark circles.
It has a refreshing blend of green tea and raspberry extracts which are powerful antioxidants. It also contains Cornflower, which is gentle and soothing.
Combine all these active ingredients together and you get a really enriched, soothing eye gel. One that should help reduce puffiness, refresh your eyes, plus tone and brighten the delicate area around your eyes.
As well as the beneficial effects of the active ingredients in this Brightening Eye Serum you also have the benefit of the Essential Oils that they include. The essential oils have the ability to be able to unwind and brighten your mood. When you combine this with the powerful botanical ingredients, it gives you the chance to create a relaxing moment for yourself.
The Results
On the left of this picture you can see a before shot of my eye area and on the right is my eye area after application of the Oyster Skincare Brightening Eye Serum. There isn’t a dramatic difference in the deep wrinkle under my eye but you can see a reduction in the very fine lines.
The eye serum has definitely hydrated and nourished my under eye area because it looks and feels plumper than previously.
It has a gel consistency, it’s very light and has a very subtle scent to it. You can actually really smell the green tea.
Even though you can smell the green tea it isn’t an unpleasant smell and the serum feels extremely refreshing and cooling on the eye area too. I definitely find it very beneficial to use in the morning when my eyes are tired and they need that extra bit of TLC.
So I’d definitely recommend it as a great eye serum to use first thing in the morning.
