I couldn’t help but think of the Katy Perry song, Peacock when I saw November’s Birchbox.
‘Come on baby, let me see what you hidin’ underneath…’
You have to admit, this design is just gorgeous. This month, Birchbox teamed up with Tatler magazine and created this stunning peacock print. It’s just so pretty!
I was actually really pleased with the contents of my Birchbox this month. They were all items I would actually use.
This pretty silver Midi Wet Brush® is a full-size item and is a perfect size for carrying around or keeping in a desk drawer. It makes easy work of tangles due to its Intelliflex® bristles, which are very thin, strong and flexible. My hair is very long, very thick and knots up really easily but this brush really does make easy work of brushing through my wet hair. RRP £11.99
Beauty Protector is a Birchbox exclusive. This little red number will not only condition your hair but will detangle it too. Use it with your Wet Brush® by spraying it on to clean damp hair, and then just brush through and style as you usually would. It will also add shine to your hair, leaving it smooth and protected too. RRP £18.50 for full size
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar Primer smells lovely and minty. It feels cooling on the lips and will prep your lips for colour. Nourishing your lips with Vitamin E, hemp and peppermint oil, will hydrate your lips and give your lipstick more staying power, ensuring it looks great all day. RRP £15.00 full size
The Nuxe Creme Prodigieuse® is a moisturising cream packed with blue everlasting flowers which will boost the skin’s antioxidant levels. Your skin will be left hydrated and nourished. So when you’re suffering the next morning from partying too hard the night before, this is the cream to reach for. It will give your tired, dehydrated skin, a much-needed lift, leaving your complexion bright and revitalised. RRP £ 21.00 full size
The last item I received in my Birchbox this month is the Marcelle BB Cream Golden Glow Illuminator. This is another Birchbox exclusive too. This multi-tasking BB cream will even out your skin tone, cover pesky imperfections and control shine. With the help of tiny light-reflecting pigments, it will also make your skin look glowing and radiant too. RRP £25.50 full size
Overall Thoughts
I really did like November’s Birchbox Tatler collaboration. The peacock design on the box is just so beautiful. My favourite box design to date; most definitely.
I do know there were some people who weren’t very pleased with the items they got. I was very glad I got the Wet Brush®, and the Beauty Protector; they are proving to be most useful.
As I enjoy skincare over make-up these days, I was kind of pleased the other items were skincare products. Well, I guess the BB cream is kinda both makeup and skincare. I was just grateful there wasn’t another black eyeliner.
