What’s Inside the Box?
First off let me just say that this box is by no means small. It’s really big and there are a lot of items in it! It came really well packed and you get an information leaflet with it that gives the retail value and a little description about each item that’s in the box.
Metcalfe’s Popcorn Thins
These Metcalfe’s Popcorn thins are only 82 calories each and would make a great snack. Price £1.00
Get Fruity Marvellous Mango Bar
I tried this Get Fruity Marvellous Mango Bar, as I love the taste of mango. I wasn’t too keen on this though. It’s gluten-free and is 100% natural. It wasn’t horrible, don’t get me wrong, just I’m not a lover of oaty bars really. This was quite moist though and fruity. Price £1.00
Say Yes Dutch Gouda Toasted Bread Chips
These Say Yes Dutch Gouda Toasted Bread Chips are a nice alternative to regular crisps. They were crispy and cheesy and pretty tasty. Price £1.49
Chia Bia Chia Seed
I’m not quite sure what to do with Chia Bia chia seed but I know these are very popular at the moment. Plus they are packed with protein, vitamins and minerals too. Price 2 x £1.00
Emily Fruit Crisps
I’ve had Emily Fruit Crisps before in my Pink Parcel box; that time I got a small bag of the apple ones. Now I LOVE dried fruit but I’m just not overly keen on them as crisps, and these are really crispy. If you like crispy dried fruit, with a real crunch then I am sure you would love these. Price £1.75
Mrs Crimble’s Gluten-Free Pasta with Sauce
Gluten-free pasta with sauce by Mrs Crimble’s. Totally not my thing, I love gluten-free pasta but I hate mushroom sauce. Price £1.99
Cape Drinks
These were really tasty drinks by Cape Drinks. We got Peach & Lychee and Pineapple & Passion Fruit. The Pineapple & Passion Fruit one was my favourite of the two but really only because I’m not keen on peach flavoured drinks in general. Cape is a sparkling blend of Rooibos Tea and delicious fruit juices. It has added vitamins, ginseng and natural botanical extracts. It also has no refined sugar in it either and is made from only natural ingredients. Price 2 x £1.95
Teisseire Framboise & Cranberry
I really enjoyed this Teisseire Framboise & Cranberry. It’s a syrup/cordial and I added it to sparkling water as suggested and ice and it was really delicious and refreshing. As a Diabetic, I love that it has zero sugar too! Price £2.99
Cirio Borlotti Express
Cirio Borlotti Express, I’ve never had Borlotti beans but I’m pretty sure these would work great in a winter vegetable soup. Price £1.89 pack of 3
Hartleys Jelly Pots
I’ve had Hartleys Jelly Pots before and they’re a quick little snack when you fancy something sweet. These are No Added Sugar ones, which is great. Perfect for kids’ lunch boxes too! Price 4 x £0.50
My Overall Thoughts on the September 2016 Degustabox UK
I think this is a really great value subscription box. You can get to try things you might not have before and also new or upcoming items before everyone else. They have a really thorough survey you fill in which helps with preferences for the future. There is also a survey after the box, so you can give feedback on what you liked and didn’t like about the box and the products that were included.
