It’s been a hot minute since I lasted reviewed The Natural Beauty Box, in fact, it was back in 2017, which was a review of their debut box. The lovely Emma reached out to me recently and asked if I would be interested in reviewing a box and I was very happy to do so. The box I was sent was the ‘Replenish‘ edit for August. Which is still available to purchase in the shop on their website.
More and more people are looking for natural vegan and cruelty-free products and a beauty subscription box like The Natural Beauty Box is such a brilliant way to discover new products.

The August Natural Beauty Box ‘Replenish’ Edit
So let’s take a look at the 5 products that were in the Replenish edit this August.
BAO Skincare Restorative Beauty Oil – £27.99
As we move into cooler weather our skin needs more nourishing and replenishing products. This Restorative Beauty Oil is perfect for doing just that and leaves you with bouncy, soft and glowy skin. It’s made from a blend of organic plant and flower oils. A really lovely facial oil that absorbs easily into the skin.
Kathleen® Dead Sea Mud Clay Mask – £19.00
I’m usually not a fan of clay masks, mostly because I find them a pain to remove. However, that is down to my disability which makes it hard to stand long enough at the sink to wash them off afterwards. Having skin that leans towards quite dry, especially during Autumn and Winter, they can also be a little drying on my skin too. That said I didn’t find this clay mask drying at all, in fact, it was pretty nourishing and hydrating just as it says. This Dead Sea Mud Clay Mask contains Kaolin clay & Dead Sea mud. They help to draw out dirt and impurities, along with removing toxins and excess oil. I also found it reasonably easy to remove too. I didn’t have any of that tight feeling to my skin like I have experienced with other clay masks in the past. My skin just felt really clean yet it still felt soft and hydrated.
Dalia Botanique Sea Buckthorn Face & Body Butter – £12.00
I loved the rich and yet light buttery texture of this Sea Buckthorn Face & Body Butter. It’s really nourishing and sinks easily into the skin, leaving it feeling ever so soft and smooth. It also has fab ingredients; chamomile, calendula, hemp, murumuru, shea and sea buckthorn oil. Sadly though, I just don’t like the smell of Sea Buckthorn. I loved what the product does but for me the sea buckthorn makes me feel nauseous. However, I do have a VERY sensitive sense of smell. My other half loved it and the scent wasn’t an issue for him at all as he really likes it. I’m rating the product on its performance, not the scent because that’s a personal preference.
Aromantic Orange Blossom Hydrolat – £6.30
I was so happy to see a product from Aromantic in this box! That’s because I recently did a review of one of their home pamper kits, which I absolutely loved. Essentially this Orange Blosson Hydrolat can be used as a toner for all skin types. However, it can also be used as a refreshing facial mist and will even add shine to your hair. It does have astringent properties so it will help to soothe and calm irritated, angry skin.
Friendly Skincare Travel Soap – £2.75
You can use this soap as a body wash and shampoo, so it is ideal for travel. Apparently, you can even use it to wash clothes, though I didn’t put that to the test. Made with coconut, castor and olive oil it has a lovely scent and left my skin feeling clean, fresh and surprisingly soft. I didn’t really like it as a shampoo though. I found it hard to get a good lather on my hair, which is very thick and fairly long. That said, this is still such a lovely product.
Overall Thoughts on The Natural Beauty Box August ‘Replenish’ Edit
Like I mentioned earlier it had been a long while since I last reviewed this subscription box and I was really happy to see that Emma is still curating such fantastic products. My favourite out of the 5 products featured in this edit was definitely the BAO Skincare Restorative Beauty Oil, but the Kathleen® Dead Sea Mud Clay Mask was a very close second!
