Can you believe that it is just 3 days till Christmas? I seriously don’t know where this year has gone. Thankfully everything is done now. Shopping is done, the last food shop arrives on Christmas Eve and all the presents are wrapped and under the Christmas tree. Anyway, today I have the Degusta Box for December 2022 to share with you!
What is Degusta Box All About?
So, if you are new here and have never heard of Degusta Box UK I’ll quickly explain what it is and how it works.
Degusta Box UK is a monthly subscription box that contains between 10-15 items each month, most of which are new to the market. The products are chosen and put together by a team of specialists who look for foods that are versatile, innovative, and delicious. You can read some of my reviews for previous boxes here. It costs £12.99 per month. You can also find a discount at the end of the post. So, that means you’ll pay just £7.99 for your first box!
Degusta Box for December 2022 Theme & Contents
The Degusta Box for December 2022 contains 10 items and is themed around New Year & Enjoyable Moments. There was also a mystery brand and product included. So, let’s take a look at the products for this box.
What’s In The Box? Sweet Treats
Munchies® Caramel and Biscuit Sharing Bar (rrp £1.00)
I’ve loved Munchies since I was a kid, so I was happy to see this Munchies bar included in this month’s box. It was very yummy with just the right amount of biscuit and caramel. It is a sharing bar but I will admit, I did not share it! lol
Nestle® Kit Kat Bites (rrp £1.59)
I think I have tried these before but with my memory, I could be wrong. Either way, I really enjoyed these Kit Kat Bites from Nestle®. They had a nice amount of little crispy wafer pieces in them too.
Plantastic Sweet Apricot & Ginger Flapjacks with almonds Donut (£2.25 )
I have to say that these flapjacks were a really pleasant surprise. A lovely taste of apricot throughout the oats with just the right amount of ginger. You really wouldn’t know these were plant-based at all.
What’s in the Box? Sauces
Heinz Made for Veggies Balsamic & Rosemary Sauce (£2.50)
We had a Heinz Made for Veggiez Sauce in November’s box and we still haven’t tried that one. We’ve not tried this one yet either. Veg is something that we don’t eat loads of – although we should!
Knorr Organic Chicken Stock Pot (£2.00)
Knorr® stock pots are something we always have in our cupboards as they are just so handy to have. We always use the chicken one in our potato and leek soup. It provides so much flavour.
Odysea Spicy Ajvar Dip (£2.75)
This is a “sweet and spicy roasted red pepper and aubergine dip”. We have yet to try this ready-to-eat sauce/dip. It’s not something I would eat as I can’t eat peppers but I am sure it will get used over Christmas and New Year.
Lee Kum Kee (Europe) Limited Sachet Sample Box (£4.99)
We have definitely this sample pack in a previous Degusta Box. The last pack we had was used very quickly and we enjoyed all the samples. Such a great way to try an assortment of Lee Kum Kee sauces. Plus, you also get a small recipe book inside too.
What’s In The Box? Mystery Product
Dorset Cereals® Dark Choc & Hazelnut Muesli Crunch (£3.70 – £4.00)
Over time we’ve had a few boxes of Dorest Cereals® and they have always been lovely. If you like muesli I am pretty sure you would like this one.
What’s In The Box? Drinks
Vadham® Turmeric Sampler (£5.00)
This is a really lovely selection of turmeric teas that are infused with superfoods. Both Andy and I have taken turmeric supplements for their anti-inflammatory properties. Turmeric is also good for boosting your immune system, soothing aches and pain, and improving mental focus
Eisberg Alcohol Free Mulled Wine (£3.25)
Eisberg is always a decent choice if you can’t or don’t drink alcohol. This mulled wine one is new to me so it was a pleasant surprise as I rarely drink due to all the medication I take.
My Overall Thoughts On The Degusta Box for December 2022
The Degusta Box for December 2022 has a nice selection of products. I feel like it was a good mix of sweet and savoury items, plus the 2 drinks. I was surprised that there weren’t any savoury snacks of some sort. It’s been a fair while since we’ve had a box without savoury snacks. The sauces will also be very useful to make some fab meals after Christmas.
My favourite item out of December’s Degusta Box was the very yummy Munchies Caramel & Biscuit Sharing Bar! Like I mentioned earlier, I didn’t share it though lol I ate it over a couple of days, so at least I didn’t scoff it in one sitting!
I also really enjoyed the Kit Kar Bites too; also very yummy!
