- Overall Thoughts On The June DegustaboxUK
I don’t know about you guys but this hot weather has been killing me. I am just not a lover of Summer when it gets this hot. That doesn’t mean I don’t love a good BBQ though.
So, what have the lovely folks at DegustaboxUK put together for their June box?
Peckish BBQ Rice Crackers Multi Pack – £ 1.79
I didn’t expect to like these at all because I usually don’t like BBQ flavour BUT I ended up loving them and they are definitely something I would buy in the future. Each pack was a really nice snack size. They were crunchy, really tasty, best of all gluten-free, baked, not fried AND under 100 calories too.
Brioche Pasquier Pains Au Lait – £ 1.75
I always used to buy just normal finger bread rolls to use for hot dogs but recently I tried Brioche rolls and have not looked back since. They are so much better and make the hot dog taste so different. These milk brioche rolls really do upgrade the taste of a normal hot dog! These ones are also free from artificial flavours, preservatives and hydrogenated fats too.
Idahoan Gratin Bake – £ 2.30
A really easy and quick side dish that I am sure would go down really well at a BBQ. Sometimes it’s hard thinking of accompaniments for BBQs, or maybe that’s just me as I am such a fussy eater! You can’t really go wrong with cheesy potato gratin though, now can you!
Capsicana Cook Sauces x 2 – £ 1.99
In the June DegustaboxUK, there are two of these Capsicana Cooking Sauces, so you can spice up your meat or veggies, whichever your preference. I don’t like spicy food and as these were labelled HOT, definitely not something for me! These were two of 4 flavours that you could have received.
The Jelly Bean Factory Fairtrade Box – £ 1.25
So, from savoury, we move on to sweet in the shape of these Jelly Beans from The Jelly Bean Factory. There are 36 flavours and they are also made with Fairtrade sugar. Kids and adults alike would definitely enjoy a bowl of these on offer, I am sure.
Mighty Fine Salted Caramel Honeycomb Bar – £ 1.00
I’ve had a Mighty Fine Honeycomb bar before but not this salted caramel one. It was really lovely. The honeycomb is just so nice; light, crisp, melt in the mouth. The chocolate coating is also really delicious too. Definitely my favourite honeycomb bars.
Great British Biscotti Co – £ 1.30
Biscotti is something that I’ve never been a massive fan of in the past. However, this white chocolate, cranberries and pistachio biscotti was seriously tasty. So if you already like Biscotti I am pretty sure you would love this!
Frylight Avocado Oil Cooking Spray – £ 2.99
A cooking oil you can feel less guilty about using and is also suitable for high temps, such as in stir-fries, due to the resilient nature of avocado. Plus, 1 calorie a spray too.
No&More Rasberry & Blueberry – £ 1.29
Now this flavoured spring water, I expected to love. I love raspberries, I love blueberries and I love spring water. Sadly, I did not like it at all. The flavour for me was just too perfumey, I just couldn’t drink it. It’s a shame because I usually love flavoured water.
Orangina x 2 – £ 1.20
Orangina, ahhh, I actually remember when this came out – yes I am THAT old! It hasn’t really changed and I still really enjoyed these. Lovely taste of orange, especially when ice cold. It was hard to tell the difference between the Light version and the original too, which was great.
Rosie’s Pig Raspberry Roller – £ 2.00
Wasn’t really keen on this one, I took a sip and passed it on to my partner. He really enjoyed it as he likes cider.
Fyre Fruit Drinks x 2 £ 1.29
For the non-alcohol version of the June DegustaboxUK, you would have received these two Fyre drinks. Not your boring fruit drinks, these have a bit of a kick to them. Still very refreshing served cold over ice.
Overall Thoughts On The June DegustaboxUK
I think there was a really nice selection of products in the June DegustaboxUK. There were a lot of brands I’d not tried before and although there were a few things I didn’t like, the rest of my family did. So, nothing went to waste. It’s actually become a thing now when the box arrives, the family are diving straight in & claiming things before I’ve even had a chance to look!
